Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Got something that's bugging you?

Want to vent, but don't want a response?

Sometimes our minds can get stuck in circles trying to sort out an issue. This can keep you up at night, or make it hard to focus on other things. I find that putting things away, and not thinking about it temporarily can be helpful.

This is the place to get it out, and then give yourself permission to let it go.

Maybe you will need to get back to it some other time, but this is space where you can put it in a place so that you can leave it for some time and (try) not to worry about it in the mean time.

It's a thread where people don't need to reply, it purely just to get it out your worry and concerns.

If you want to show your support for someone, hit the 'like' button. In this thread, 'like' doesn't mean that you 'like' someone's issue, but you support them in letting it out.

So write down your concerns, put it in a vault, shut the door, and allow yourself to walk away from it.

Pls note: If you are reading other people's posts, please respect that they don't want a response. Show your support by 'Liking' their post.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

I feel super hopeless, and once again I seem to be ebbing closer to a decision of rational suicide. I am SO TIRED of the band-aid solutions. Is this all there is? If I am never going to feel ok inside, then I choose to end my life. I have been seeing A for three months and we don't seem to have actually started yet. I am three months deeper into the hole...and not a step towards climbing out.

I am curious to know what other people actually DO in therapy? Is it always just this band-aid solution crap? Does anyone ever get to actually deal with the stuff that drives the hopeless, the depression and the suicidal ideation. Right at the start I gave A a huge long list of all the losses I've experienced in the past 18 months...and yet we haven't addressed any of that. I also told her that she was my 9th therapist in a year and that each of the others has an icky story attached. She said "of course" when I asked if we would be able to process all of that stuff...and yet we haven't gone near it.

When do we actually get to START??? When do we get to start dealing with the grief stuff and the trauma stuff and the attachment stuff and the lack-of-identity stuff? When do we get to start??????

I am still super struggling with a wave of suicidal ideation. I know I'm going to see A at 8am...and then what? I'm going to see her, spend 50 minutes with her, come out no step closer to dealing with my muddle, and then what???

I feel SO dissociated and SO lost. I've been telling A for three months how dissociated I feel...and yet we have done nothing to address it.

I miss K. I miss her SO MUCH. She genuinely helped me. If I could have just kept working with her, I know I could have created a life worth living. I miss her. I miss her, I miss her, I miss her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I miss K, I miss F, I miss E, I miss N, I miss J...and I miss my whole entire past life and my identity. I don't know who I am and I don't know how to create a new life and a new...me. Yep, I super super super super want to die right now.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

Hi @Phoenix_Rising

Please don't do anything. Do you have a suicide prevention plan? If not please call suicidehelpline they will do one with you, or talk to A who should do one with you at 8.

I'm nearly 12 month with one therapist, see her weekly and ask the same questions. We've only just finished my trauma list, I think others do that in the first appointment? Oh here I go again, I shouldn't compare... I guess you and I eventually or probably already are working on our trauma even if we cannot see it.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

I'm worried today that the different people in my head (the child, teenager and adult) will eventually split. I feel like I'm losing control of who influences my decisions and I find it so hard to identify who is running amuck in my head. And I don't know what to do about it and that really really scares me. I don't even know if that is something that can be worked on in therapy or if I just have to accept what will be will be. I'm the adult today, or now. Hopefully that stays like that today.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

Nowhere else feels ok to post so I'm just going to put this here.
I'm feeling disproportionately and increasingly upset about having to make and eat dinner, which is stupid but it is what it is. It usually takes me 5 days to make a single meal.
Day 1 - I want to make ____ so should get stuff from the shops. But can't be bothered.
Day 2 - Drag myself to the shops.
Day 3 - Now I have all the ingredients. But can't be bothered.
Day 4 - <Insert some excuse about not making it>
Day 5 - oh horray. Finally.

Tonight I have juiced one lemon. That's it. It took me an hour, and that's all I have accomplished. Aside from throwing out moldy veges that I took too long to use, which is hardly surprising given the useless schedule I've created. And I am in no mood to do any more. Except for the fact that I'm hungry and making myself upset and need to prepare and eat something before I dig myself into a deeper hole but it all feels overwhelming and I might just go out and not come back here so I don't have to deal with it ever again.

@TheVorticon. That sounds so tough trying to live through that.
I hope you are able to at least put some butter on bread and eat that before you go out.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

I'm worried I have (inadvertently ) taken too much medication ..,,, I'm in crisis it's what my psychiatrist told me to take which included the sudden tripling of one of my meds but I'm dizzy, off balance, upset stomach and in la la land.

So what do I do??? I just took it all again .,,,cause that's what he said to do.

I go into hospital tomorrow anc it's going to take freakin everything I've got to not just collapse in the doorway and not get up for a week

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

@Ayesha. I'd suggest calling the ambulance and heading to the ED. Best for the doctors to check you over and monitor you.
@Former-Member - what would you suggest
