Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Got something that's bugging you?

Want to vent, but don't want a response?

Sometimes our minds can get stuck in circles trying to sort out an issue. This can keep you up at night, or make it hard to focus on other things. I find that putting things away, and not thinking about it temporarily can be helpful.

This is the place to get it out, and then give yourself permission to let it go.

Maybe you will need to get back to it some other time, but this is space where you can put it in a place so that you can leave it for some time and (try) not to worry about it in the mean time.

It's a thread where people don't need to reply, it purely just to get it out your worry and concerns.

If you want to show your support for someone, hit the 'like' button. In this thread, 'like' doesn't mean that you 'like' someone's issue, but you support them in letting it out.

So write down your concerns, put it in a vault, shut the door, and allow yourself to walk away from it.

Pls note: If you are reading other people's posts, please respect that they don't want a response. Show your support by 'Liking' their post.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

So I went to make an appointment for an ultrasound for ovarian cysts, a possible inguinal hernia and pain possibly due to an issue from my gall bladder removal almost 9 years ago. I'm in constant pain sometimes to the point I cant move and have felt close to passing out. However despite really needing this ultrasound to determine what's going on I've been told that I will need to somehow scrape together $470 to get it done ontop of the 2-3 hour drive it will take to get there as I live in a small rural town that doesn't have their own machines for these things and I don't have a healthcare card because apparently my hubby earns just barely over the threshold. Basically I have to be admitted to hospital to be able to get my ultrasound done because the only imaging place less than 4hours away is, despite being attached to a hospital, private and doesn't bulk bill Medicare cards. Hope Queensland Health people might realise that this is b******t and do something about stuff like this because now I've either gotta put up with being in pain or go back to the hospital and hope they will admit me this time so I can get the scans done as a patient.

Gastroscopy + Colonoscopy -

4 or 5 Biopsies were taken yesterday (on Report), I’m very weak today.

Results not good, did not discover causes of blood loss – Yet found several other (new) things wrong, as well (on Report).

Cannot make much sense of the Report.

They Referred me to a major Hospital, yet Report did not say what for (or what Department).

Was not in a fit state to get to Lions Club Aust Day Breakfast this morning, so I lost that (which I look forward to).

Felt too weak & tired to go to the fortnightly MH Social Lunch Group – Forced myself to go there anyway, this morning

Was too tired to talk, or to listen to constant chatter mostly – Whilst there today.

Then almost collapsed, could barely stand.

So had to leave & drive home after only 40 minutes there, whilst still feeling able to drive.

Work Team Leader messaged me at MH Social Lunch Group, to say that we are starting early (6.00am) tomorrow Thursday – When I intend to work tomorrow (feel guilty if I don’t), Yet do not feel up to working tomorrow at all yet.

I have a Medical Certificate from the Hospital yesterday – Which covers tomorrow (Thursday).

Yet I did not want to have to use that Medical Cert, I intended to work Thursday.

Not a good few days...

I'm glad my new support workers and this particular care support company aren't treating me like a criminal. Vision impairment disabilities and mental health disabilities bring on so much discrimination and stigma. Thank heavens the 1800 Respect number has given me a few fight-back strategies. Now I won't be trodden on like a doormat anymore. I'm no longer going to "prove myself" to this world. I'm as human as anybody else and people choose to challenge that, I will defend myself. Since when did disabilities ever become a crime? So I assume that society would prefer to have no disabilities and no mental health disabilities, then? Sounds like eugenics to me. Well, I guess bad behaviour never changes. It just changes its language and form. I shouldn't have forgotten that.

Ok, why do old conversations keep playing over and over in my head? So much noise going on in my head with my thoughts about past life events going on over and over. At least my body is calm enough for me to deal with this crap and my mind is slower than it was several weeks ago, I'm just sick of the bloody noise and horrible past conversations, horrible past life events which keep replaying like a broken record. Damn it this is terrible. I can't wait till the doctor sorts this out next week. At least I have a few issues and grievances ticked off my list. Now I just have to find out whether my stupid noisy thoughts are just me thinking or if something else is going on and I just don't know yet.

I hope Australia doesn't become a communist state. It's hard enough for me to bear having to censor every word to a highly offended, sensitive, dictatorial society. This is why I don't fit in. This is why I don't like people, why I refuse to talk to anybody most of the time. Perhaps I should go and live in China? At least it's the cultural norm over to speak in a certain way and behave in a certain way. Why is our Australian identity and culture being eroded by political correctness? And "validation" is a very broad and highly thrown around word. In reality, I get validated by nobody apart from my Mable support community and some people from a few favourite social spots I frequent. The rest of it is just mamby-pamby pretend talk for "I don't care about you, I just don't wanna be honest and say it". Fine then. I won't be available or reliable when (most) people ask me for help and support.

I've felt under considerable pressure (expectation), since Friday.

The Parks & Gardens Temp Job now wants me to work Mondays (On-Going) - A 4 day week.

I had not recovered my strength from 48 hours of Liquids only (No Solids) for Colonoscopy + Gastroscopy - When I returned to work on Thursday 27th.

Currently 27 hours (3 days) - 4 days is 36 hours.

6.30am till 3.30pm - Is exactly the same as working 9.00am till 6.00pm (9 hours).

My Shoulder Bursitis in Both Shoulders is much worse, very sore.

My Physical exhaustion Friday afternoon, all of Saturday + Sunday (today) has not reduced or eased.

My Gut feeling is that I will burn out or be unable to work at all (for some time) - After one week of 4 days (36 hours).

I have been rapidly heading in that direction (physical decline), working 3 days per week.

I asked for time to consider - Yet was asked to let the Team Leader know, before this Monday (tomorrow).

I've essentially caved in, by agreeing to work Mondays in future (as well as Wed, Thurs, Fri) - When I don't see how I can physically cope with the early starts & physical work in the heat (40C or close most days recently).

10 hour Round Trip (each day).

Just One Powerball or 1/2 a Powerball Please.....

I am … so not good, and I am so completely alone. (Edie is great—she is everything—but cats don’t really really get it.) Sorry, I just need to vent, to let it out.

My psych appointment was cancelled this morning (not by me). Thankfully my agoraphobia meant it was scheduled to be online (not in an accessible way, but whatever) as opposed to driving a six-hour round trip (which would have been for nothing). And then I just wanted to go to the supermarket tonight (despite COVID and my inadequate mask situation and being high-risk) but (thanks, universe) sudden dead car battery. It meant braving knocking on the neighbour’s door to no answer then phoning the RACV and dealing with people (all major triggers for me). Car still not fixed (maybe by the end of the week?). Supermarket trip not made. Breakdown in progress. I miss my dad. He was mostly absent for most of my life, but at the end he was getting his sh!t together and being a dad and he would have bought a battery and driven 2 hours (each way) to replace it for me. People should not die suddenly of cancer (or anything) at 47. I just … it shouldn’t be this hard to just be.

Please, no replies. I am safe enough. I hope everyone else is in a better place tonight than this.

Sleep has eluded me. The memories are to real, too distinct, too present. Not even the meds could help.

Things are moving forward too fast and I have no ability nor energy left to stop it. There is only one path left.

Please no replies.
