Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Got something that's bugging you?

Want to vent, but don't want a response?

Sometimes our minds can get stuck in circles trying to sort out an issue. This can keep you up at night, or make it hard to focus on other things. I find that putting things away, and not thinking about it temporarily can be helpful.

This is the place to get it out, and then give yourself permission to let it go.

Maybe you will need to get back to it some other time, but this is space where you can put it in a place so that you can leave it for some time and (try) not to worry about it in the mean time.

It's a thread where people don't need to reply, it purely just to get it out your worry and concerns.

If you want to show your support for someone, hit the 'like' button. In this thread, 'like' doesn't mean that you 'like' someone's issue, but you support them in letting it out.

So write down your concerns, put it in a vault, shut the door, and allow yourself to walk away from it.

Pls note: If you are reading other people's posts, please respect that they don't want a response. Show your support by 'Liking' their post.

Hi @Arizona ,
I know we don't often reply in this space, but I wanted to make sure that you know your frustration is heard. We are so sorry to hear the anger you are feeling at the moment and the experience you have had with mental health services. We are sitting here with you.

Hi @cloudcore

Sorry, I didn't see your post 😊

I re-wrote my post because I realised that I don't want to be angry about it. I just want to take steps now to not have these people in my life.

My sp is not working tonight. It is just one things after another.

Sometimes I wish I could stop thinking and stop my brain. It can be our worse enemy at times.

It is times like this that I want no more part in this journey. Hope feels so far away.

@Snowie my dear if we could switch our brains off - just for a tick - it would make this life that much easier huh? You're definitely not alone in this thought.

It can be hard to hold onto hope - I'm sending some your way for this time when you are struggling to find it yourself

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Oh my goodness, I have the worst heartburn/indigestion (I'm not sure which one it is). It's so painful. I rarely have this by the way (I have never had it this bad). And I have a sore ear and a sore throat. I'm so sore and irritable and annoyed because I need to go to sleep so I can drive to Melbourne tomorrow. Can anxiety cause this? I'm not sure what could cause it. Maybe I ate my dinner too fast. I took something called Eno (a powder dissolved in water) but it hasn't made any difference. It feels like something is stuck in my throat. It's the most annoying feeling. I will watch something on iView now and try to get my mind off it.

Hello @Arizona

When that happens to me, I sometimes get relief by eating an apple, preferably green. Also, If you are watching a program, try sipping some water, about standard glass in half an hour. That helps too. Those two don't work everytime, but rather, most times.

Best Wishes

Thank you @HenryX

It has mostly gone now. It just feels uncomfortable. I don't know what caused it. I wonder if it was stress/anxiety.

I'm not picking up my bike today. I'm disappointed because it's my birthday tomorrow. I will have to pick it up another day.

I had a terrible night's sleep and my anxiety is through the roof. My cold symptoms are still there (and very irritating) and I still have that uncomfortable feeling in my throat/chest from the weird indigestion thing. Bloody hell, I'm a mess today.

I will get tested for the coronavirus. I don't think I have it, and I'm not worried about it, but I will get tested just in case.

I will do my shopping today and buy some food because I have been without decent food for a couple of days.

I'm in bed drinking a cup of tea and my Pug is asleep beside me.

This was Really Weird.

I phoned Medibank, to Request a Replacement Membership Card.

I Only Spoke to a Machine, I never Spoke to any Real Person.

The Machine said: "We have ordered you a Replacement Membership Card" - "You can hang up now"....

How did the Machine know who I was?

It never asked me for my Membership Number, it only asked me for my Date of Birth....

I'm hesitant to believe that my new Membership Card will ever actually arrive.

We shall see....

That does seem strange @Adge

Did you ring them on your mobile phone - perhaps they knew it was you from your phone number

But still - with all the current issues about ID theft and protecting our privacy it does seem really really weird

Please let us know how it works out
