Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Got something that's bugging you?

Want to vent, but don't want a response?

Sometimes our minds can get stuck in circles trying to sort out an issue. This can keep you up at night, or make it hard to focus on other things. I find that putting things away, and not thinking about it temporarily can be helpful.

This is the place to get it out, and then give yourself permission to let it go.

Maybe you will need to get back to it some other time, but this is space where you can put it in a place so that you can leave it for some time and (try) not to worry about it in the mean time.

It's a thread where people don't need to reply, it purely just to get it out your worry and concerns.

If you want to show your support for someone, hit the 'like' button. In this thread, 'like' doesn't mean that you 'like' someone's issue, but you support them in letting it out.

So write down your concerns, put it in a vault, shut the door, and allow yourself to walk away from it.

Pls note: If you are reading other people's posts, please respect that they don't want a response. Show your support by 'Liking' their post.

Hi @TheVorticon

Great to hear you tried to call the SANE Help Centre. Its a very normal experience to dial the number and hang up before or after someone answers. The counsellors say that a lot of people who call reflect the same feeling and sometimes try multiple times before they feel comfortable and ready to speak to a counsellor for the first time.
A handy little tip to ease into the process can be to have some dot points written out for yourself before you call or talk about your interests and things you enjoy. I'd also suggest jumping onto the Help Center Web Chat option first if calling seems a bit daunting at first. The web chat option will allow you to speak to the same counsellors and get a feel for what it is like before you call. You may even want to have a few web chats before you make your first call.
Whatever works best for you. In my biased opinion though, they really are a lovely bunch in the Help Centre
Take care,

Radius

I hate cancer ... the silent unseen killer within!

On top of MI, its just one more battle I need to confront.

One day I want to fight the bastard with everything I've got.

Then it all becomes too much ... and I feel like giving up.

Why even bother?

I feel like everything is my fault and that i should help more or take more responsibility for things. I feel like others troubles and issues are placed on me and expected to be fixed by me even when i should be able to take a step back from it. I cant escape. Sometimes i really wish i had a normal childhood. A normal life.

Why is sh the only way to get relief from these voices in my head?

Please just leave me alone.

Feeling really upset after my mum's latest comment about my weight.

I could handle the "ten tonne Tess" comment. But asking to make sure I wasn't planning on wearing a light colour tomorrow because it shows the how fat I am, while I was currently wearing a light coloured shirt, is a step too ****ing far. Great job. Good luck getting that out of your head without beating it out of there, Vorticon.

Apparently we are not allowed to blame our dragged up XXXX up child hood any more, apparently we are old enough to have moved up from that, well Clawde gets that seriously but how do you stop your memory's in the thought and behavioural of our minds you just can't XXXX stop these things because when you try and think and program your self to bring in new amazing thoughts these little creepy memories sneak in and dwell on us at the worst of worst times some days are harder work the others, and sometimes you just help thinking and processing it does someone have an answer or does it just take a lot of time to think it through to find the attitude adjuster so I can move on just saying..... Clawde try's hard for positive everyday some days are a train wreck can't even leave the house, makes a mess of my life when I can't even leave the house to go to work sometimes, any feed back I would love to here.
