Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Got something that's bugging you?

Want to vent, but don't want a response?

Sometimes our minds can get stuck in circles trying to sort out an issue. This can keep you up at night, or make it hard to focus on other things. I find that putting things away, and not thinking about it temporarily can be helpful.

This is the place to get it out, and then give yourself permission to let it go.

Maybe you will need to get back to it some other time, but this is space where you can put it in a place so that you can leave it for some time and (try) not to worry about it in the mean time.

It's a thread where people don't need to reply, it purely just to get it out your worry and concerns.

If you want to show your support for someone, hit the 'like' button. In this thread, 'like' doesn't mean that you 'like' someone's issue, but you support them in letting it out.

So write down your concerns, put it in a vault, shut the door, and allow yourself to walk away from it.

Pls note: If you are reading other people's posts, please respect that they don't want a response. Show your support by 'Liking' their post.

How many times can one person get rejected, how many times can a daughter be told she is not as good as her siblings, how many time can she hear how she was neglected and that others just let it happen. How many people can just walk out of her life not taking a second to look back and noticed her tears. How much more can she take?

Feeling pretty hopeless today.

Whatever's wrong with me is never going to get better, and even if it did I'm not a real person anyway.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

At the moment I feel so useless. Maybe not good for anything. There is someone in my life whom I love dearly and I have only just found out some things about there life and only glimpses of what has been happening. After all these years I didn't know. And perhaps I still only know a bit. Anyway it hurt me so very much to know what this person was going through. It breaks my heart. And I cannot help them. Only feel for them and cry.

Perhaps this is why this person did not share with me all that was going on. Maybe they wanted to protect me from it. And felt they were being loyal and not exposing the other person. I don't know. All I can do is feel sad about it all. And what good is that. I cannot think logically how to help. Just sadness

Stupid stressful phone call from boss, as if I wasn't already stressed enough about being stuck with my work. Just what I wanted to get the suicidal ideation kicking up again today. 😞

So sorry to hear you had a stressful phone call from your boss @TheVorticon

Going to send you a quick email to check-in.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

I don't understand the point of the email @Jupiter. I say that I'm safe and that's the end of the discussion, not even a "thanks for replying" or whatever. Great checkbox activity:
- provided crisis number - *check*
- asked if "safe" - *check*
- no reply indicating any further action needs to take place - *can barely complete the check mark before the page is thrown out*

Yes I'm safe, of course I am, just like all the other days when I've thought about this for half of my life. But if I was upset rather than vaguely numb, then being discarded via checklist would be (and has previously been) more distressing.
