I think it is 12 under ATAPS, @Former-Member and 10 under a regular Better Access MHCP.

@Zoe7I am venturing out just to write this one post tonight!
Maybe someone could suggest to @NikNik that it could be a Topic Tuesday topic. Even better if they could bring in some sort of expert on this. I think a lot of members would benefit from it.

I am confused with the information here about pyschologist appointments. It must be different state to state?
My daughter has 10 appointments per year for a pyschologist. She was reviewed after 3 months and another 10 appointments were allotted. I'm not sure how that worked but it did take a while before she continued with the pyschologist again.
I am on a MHCP. I've had regular pyschologist appointments for 16 months now. I did worry that they would end and continued to ask , do I have to re-apply for a pyschologist. She said no and it would continue for as long as I needed the sessions.
I am in WA.

I know nothing @Zoe7,only the past five years when I've had to agree to a Mental Health Plan with my GP to get 12 visits a year.

The sessions that your daughter had 10 + an additional 10 after 3 months is exactly what I was stating earlier - that is exactly what we had to do.
