You may be doing so @outlander, sometimes we do that when we aren't feeling the best. We naturally try to push people away when actually what we need is to hold people close to us (those that are good for us anyway). You're doing the right thing in chatting to people here and reaching out to a helpline. You are practicing the opposite action to what you really want to do, which is amazing when you really dont feel like doing that!

You can do this! Hopefully the phone call helps, even if it is just to come up with a plan of how to cope with these thoughts and feelings for tonight

Ok @Former-Member @Sans911 and @Zoe7 if your up for it. I can speak about one other things thats bothering me.

Ive noticed my pop is showing signs of dimentia i dont think i can handle it when it gets to the worse stages which means when it gets worse i might have to hand over my role and im worried about and for him. And i also promised my nan id take care of him and everyone no matter what

Yep theres the tears

Re: I dont know how much longer i can go on like this

@outlander we push people that we love and care about away because we don't want them to see or be burdened by our pain. And sometimes we don't have a language or description of that pain, so how can we make others understand? The difference with those people who allow themselves to be pushed away AND come back is we care and love you unconditionally. And we're prepared to stay on the battle grounds with you, and eventually you will find a safe haven, and we'll be right there with you.

Re: I dont know how much longer i can go on like this

Your fears are valid @outlander but I suspect they are also heightened because of what tomorrow is and it also brings up feelings of grief for your nan and what the future may be with your pop. As it presently stands - your pop is ok (by that I mean he signs of dimentia are just that - signs) so look at him for what he is NOW and not projecting into the future too far as that will totally 'do your head in'. Concentrate on the here and now and what you actually have to deal with and not what you may have to deal with in the future - one step at a time!
