Night Shift

Night Shift

Since I am awake at 4am I thought I'd start this thread for those of us who have trouble sleeping and might find it helpful to have a place to go to chat. Whatever gets you through the night is alright.

To get the ball rolling, I'll just say that I enjoyed being part of the Topic Tuesday discussion tonight. I wish it was possible for these events to be weekly rather than monthly. Either way, thanks SANE and all the people I've met on here over recent months.

Edited June 2016 and February 2017: Night Shift is now open 24 hours a day. To join in, just click through to the last page of the thread at the top right of this post to get to the latest message.

Edited April 2017 and June 2017: For the sake of better communications between members here, I am adding that this thread is meant to be a caring, kind and gentle place of sharing. Humour is welcome, as long as its not unkindly directed towards other members. Hope your time in this chat thread is rewarding.

Re: Night Shift

Hi @PeppiPatty....

My parents were married for 25 years (I think).... They were always arguing & there was always threats of leaving....

I have been with my partner for 12.5 years - we have our share of fights & sometimes I wonder if I should leave... Lately he has told me I am emotionally & physically exhausting & my depression rubs off him - I feel he would be better off without me, but he is the only thing that keeps me alive at the moment... If I left I would be dead within a week....

Sigh,

A

- Not sure if this post will be deleted by moderators - sometimes I don't know how much I can say.... (I am safe)

Re: Night Shift

Sounds like my relationahip.....but your still together and it doesnt sound like your parents relasionship at all.

I dont know. My husband LOOKS ill,

NEEDY

IS exhausting most of the time

when he is relaxed, is the MOST beautiful interesting lovely person most intelligent person in the wide world.

I could'nt be without him. He listens to me. I can go and get support from my friend. He is making sure he gives me out with a friend of his for the day once per week until my son gets a day care with him.

He is THE MOST clever ,,,,,,,,lovely person. I couldn't so the parent thing with anyone else. He adores me completely.

I also want to have a husband who is .....rich, doesnt need me 24/7, takes the dog for a walk without me.

Hi @Former-Member

I'm sorry that you are strugglign so much, the world can be a tough place. I hope things go ok with your partner and you, you do deserve to be loved and cared for, and you are each resposible for you own selves to a certain extent but its easy for me to say such things as i'm on my own i guess.

I'm not feeling like i can cope either,

Can we do something me and @Former-Member and @Former-Member to get through? I am not coping very well either at all. I went to a friend's home for 2 hours.........who is supporting me.

My Psychotherapist wrote to me because she accidently became my mother's friend on facebook........

My head is getting better but it feels so confused.

Re: Night Shift

Hugs @PeppiPatty im sorry you arent doing well. What did you decide about your brother who contacted you (who is in aus?). That must feel a bit confusing that your psychotherapist is friendswith your mother on facebook 😞

I'm holding onto the fact that my lil boy is turning five in a week. need to be mum and not worry about rest of the stuff right now. i dont think i can be helped any further. things are at astand still and waiting is just awful.

Re: Night Shift

Dear @Former-Member

My Psychotherapist actually just wrote me this letter to me, I guess it's illegal to share but stuff it;

Seh said that it was a Facebook glich that made my Mum her friend because Mum has been tryig to be her friend for a very long time.

She also said that she is going to try and hope that I can see her with this program that the Psychiatrist is trying to get for me. Ive seen her for over 15 years so I giess sometimes we write when ......maybe she should'nt.

I 'm thinking about you LJ. You are helping me so much get through my own stuff. My brothers are being very naughty to me and you remind me of myself when it was so much harder and I got THrough it......

Im thinking about you

I need to go and give my son the computer for tonight,

Night night everyone and thankyou for helping me out so so much xxxx

Oh God what on earth am I up at this time of the morning trying to catch up on all your posts. I do feel as if we are becoming a community. We have a bit of insight and all hold hands helping here and there. Lovely to read them even if times are difficult.

Got home late from orchestral rehearsal: "Mein Jesu, Gutte nacht" Not being religious. its just the song/ lullaby we are doing at the end of the piece.
