Night Shift

Night Shift

Since I am awake at 4am I thought I'd start this thread for those of us who have trouble sleeping and might find it helpful to have a place to go to chat. Whatever gets you through the night is alright.

To get the ball rolling, I'll just say that I enjoyed being part of the Topic Tuesday discussion tonight. I wish it was possible for these events to be weekly rather than monthly. Either way, thanks SANE and all the people I've met on here over recent months.

Edited June 2016 and February 2017: Night Shift is now open 24 hours a day. To join in, just click through to the last page of the thread at the top right of this post to get to the latest message.

Edited April 2017 and June 2017: For the sake of better communications between members here, I am adding that this thread is meant to be a caring, kind and gentle place of sharing. Humour is welcome, as long as its not unkindly directed towards other members. Hope your time in this chat thread is rewarding.

Dearest @Billamba

I've been reading on some old messages.......catching up while trying to level my moods for the day

and I've been reading how kind you are to me

re; my husband and myself and that he keeps me honest and in my comfort zone......not with unsafe people

I am older than you, I am the age 48...years old, me and husband...jeepers creepers....

thank goodness for late 40s. Never want anyone to have had my life but do not want to change anything.

I've taken a stance on my MI by deciding to be proud that I have had the brave attitude of seeing mental health health agencies in the past. People may...think......oh Anne, you. Your youngest son was dying then he recovered.......you can hide in that story. You can hide when you sustained a bad head injury........

And it's true......but no more. I need huge amounts of support.

Fortunately, my husband who knows me very very well ( we went to high school together too) and he's good with the bundries..... Im not.

I have a friend, a real friend who is the most intelligent woman imaginable and she keeps me honest when I have problems

A good GP

A fantastic Psychotherapist that I owe a session to that one day Ille honour...lol

Sane forums

Somewhere...Knowledge in the archives of my brain...A bit dusty I

like reading what you write.ESP. to me and when you were writing to @Terry.

As you read some incredible stories: Maybe these will maybe

Give you thought on how you write your own writings??

@Mazarita @Former-Member @Former-Member or might be @briar @Stu @Bella and her past work experiences......

@MoonGal and her attitude is .....great and balanced ( I thought at least !!)

@Chris

@Former-Member @CherryBomb @Appleblossom. Shes one of a great kind !@Aenoron @Ellie @Mel07Mac @Sakurapus @LnF
@aButterfly

Thanks for writing to me. I like reading you; Actually Im liking lots of writings these days ....... yours are........good

Re: Night Shift

Hi @PeppiPatty

How are you going? I dont think 48 is old! you're a youngin! my lil girl called me old today, told me i have wrinkles and gray hair (i have gray hair i will admit... but there are NO wrinkles lol i spent some time in the bathroom looking!) (im 31 aghh! and i think i'll stop counting birthdays now lol).

I've had an up and down week with going back to work/school, my lil ones going back to school, having some dramas with the courts stuff and just trying to keep managing all the changes going on. The kids had visit with their dad yesterday and my lil boy has come home really upset, clingy and angry - still today... wont even go to the toilet on his own 😞 sigh

I've been finding it hard to keep track of this thread, just so many messages and not really able to concentrate on more than one message at a time lol! i can respond to one person.. but when it gets busy i start getting lost... which is a sign im feeling stressed and a bit low. (but its good im getting more self aware of these things i suppose!)

hugs, sorry for the ramble!

Re: Night Shift

@Former-Member Age is a state of mind. You are only as old as the one you feel.

For now the Looped one is going to go, live long, and healthy and never give up. One day you devils will go away. You cannot see around corners.

Thank you all.

The Looped one,

Dearest @Former-Member

As I remember, turning 30 is a real......reality check.....Don't you feel getting old is what it's all about??

I WISH I was as good as Mum as you were when you are going through your nightmares. I have no regrets; I paid huge amounts of money on Psychotherapy for myself and my children.......but you introduce them to their furbabies......Like I say, I have no regrets but can acknowledge how difficult it is.

Please do not message me because....I've been there.

Just do whatever you need to do, Love Anne xx
