@Bunniekins

Feeling like living in Norway weather, lol, so planning for midday sun.

Walking with you

Re: Taking the plunge

Thankyou @Appleblossom. It’s very peaceful, kind of meditation peaceful. Mindfulness, though I appreciate the concept, just doesn’t work for me, I’m too easily distracted.

I hope your midday walk is refreshing. I hope today gently unfolds, I’m trying to get moving here. Looks like another trip to the kettle. ☕️☕️ 💜💜💜

Re: Taking the plunge

@NatureLover I can’t see your pic yet, but really looking forward to seeing it.

Sorry, I got the name of the thread wrong. Through One's Eyes , and I see you have already visited there.

I’ve only worked with paint for two year. It’s not something I ever saw me doing, I’m a cross stitch Addict. But my eyes are finding the fine details hard now. I love colour, but my clothes don’t mirror that, just my shoes. 😂😂😂

Thanks for the link...it must be the thread that The-red-centaur tagged me to, for some of her artwork.

Amazing that you've only worked with paint for 2 years, @Maggie ! You're incredibly skillful 😯 🙂

Re: Taking the plunge

@NatureLover I’ve learnt from watching mandala artists online. Gosh, there are some amazing artists out there.

Thankyou. I find it hard to see my own art as anything, but I do appreciate feedback, even though it’s hard to digest. Still waiting for your pic.

Re: Taking the plunge

@NatureLover That is so beautiful. You really are talented. You do have an eye for colour, it’s obvious in your picture.

Thankyou for sharing that. Much appreciated.

Re: Taking the plunge

Thanks for your kind words 🙂 The colours are just what's in the original painting, that I copied.

But I liked the subject, so when I was throwing out most of my artwork from a lifetime - as well as 95% of all my lifetime's writing, poems and prose - I kept this one.

I don't actually do anything creative any more. I think I need the energy for other things. Plus I'm in less emotional pain these days (at the moment, anyway) and a lot of my writing (and also artwork) was very dark, done when I was often suicidal. I didn't want to remember those pieces.

@Maggie 💜

Re: Taking the plunge

@NatureLover I understand that. I tend to write poems when very dark also, it’s a different way of expressing yourself I think. I’m not a talker, exceptionally quiet, with no exaggeration there. I rarely converse in real life. I come across as boring. I struggle with everyday conversations. I’m learning lots here on the forums, though it’s still a struggle to get it out.

I understand also, needing energy for other things. I’m pleased that ( at the moment) your emotional pain has eased. Yes, some things are best forgotten.

You have come through ( are coming through) very deep pain. Life can be very cruel.

Take care. Lots of 💕💜💙❤️🧡💛

If it's a struggle to get it out, then you're doing well, I reckon. I'm glad you have the option of poems when things are very dark. I found that they just flowed out of me...can't do it now, but there's not the same need now.

Yes, life can be so cruel, and I've read some astoundingly cruel histories since joining the forums. 😞 Some people are incredible, and I think you're one of them, although I know only a little. It seems to me that you take all your pain and change it into love for others @Maggie 💜
