Thank you for your support about my daughter. Even 2 of my NDIS workers did not take it well at first, making derogative comments. They were both young, just out of uni and not mothers. Eventually they are beginning to realise that my personality is not that bad, realised the difficult circumstances, and are working with me, but for first 4 months I felt stricken and was judged.
I do not talk about it a lot. My son is upset about it still. I used to put a little money in a bank account, but as it has been years since i have heard from her not wise to send money.
It is what it is.

Re: Taking the plunge
@Appleblossom - that's so sad, that you haven't heard from her for years. And I'm sorry you were judged and had derogatory comments from your NDIS workers 😞

Re: Taking the plunge
I've been mostly OK thanks...a bit of depression but the sun helps that and we have sun and 18 today (I know you're in Melbourne too)!
I'm sorry if you've maybe been having a hard time... How are you managing with the restrictions?

Re: Taking the plunge
The restrictions suck NatureLover but you know what that's like. I should be getting out for the hour but am in a funk. Maybe the nicer weather will help with motivation.

Re: Taking the plunge
Yes, I'm really enjoying the spring blossom and new growth happening. The depression has eased quite a bit in the last 2 days, thanks, and you're right, I'm quite a private person, but I'm also conscious of how terrible a lot of people on here are suffering every day. I really feel for them, and don't want to add to what they're having to deal with.
I'm sorry you're in a funk, @CheerBear ...I really hope the sunshine will help and you'll feel like getting outside for some fresh air. Also that your mood will lift and you'll find what you need to feel better... ![]()
