Re: Taking the plunge

Nice to see you @CheerBear .

Cave day was good. I did some serious thinking, and realised everyone just isn’t going to be on the cheering squad. Moving out of comfort zones is tricky, and won’t always be recognised by many. Stick with the cheering squad, and try again when the wounds are healing, but not in the same place. So, I’m in between ‘ I’ve got this’ and ‘ I’m going to hide forever’ 😂😂😂😂😂

How was your day ? Did the sewing machine arrive. . I can’t find the question make this morning. 🥴🥴☹️☹️

Re: Taking the plunge

That sounds like such a helpful cave day @Maggie. I really like the idea of sticking with the cheering squad and waiting until you're in a different place to try some more. There's so much wisdom in that ❤ I'm here with my whatchmecallit's (those streamer thingies 😂), cheering you on, not to change or to be different but to keep going being you.

My day was very quiet which was good. I have really un-fun hormone awfulness happening so I'm feeling blegh and thinking maybe that was contributing to my teary meltdown the other day. I slept terribly last night - nightmares galore. Little Rocket is sick and that's stressing me out so my wake ups were helpful in checking on her at least. Mr Person did a big push me away yesterday with a low blow hard hit. I get that he's really struggling but I'm not interested in being a punching bag so I have to practice boundaries there.

Machine won't be here until next week. I was hoping by the weekend but will also have to practice patience. I'll have to wrestle the old one today as I realised I made multiple masks for everyone and only one for myself and I need more than one (plus the print I chose was super fun but didn't match my out there tights 😆). I'll do that today in between meetings.

How's your today looking? Do you have physio today?

Re: Taking the plunge

@CheerBear I like the ‘ whatchmatcallits’ I’ll have those any day.

Thankyou for hearing and supporting, it really does mean so much. 🥰🥰

Oh those hormone thingys are so very annoying and intrusive. I would agree, they contribute to meltdowns for sure. Hopefully, they are easing a little bit today. Rest and quiet are helpful.

Nightmare are awful @CheerBear, I don’t do well at night at all sometimes either.

Poor little Rocket Cat. Does it mean a vet visit, or is it a passing illness ? Found the question mark. 😂😂

Sorry Mr Person is being tricky. You are not his punching bag, I agree. Struggling doesn’t give us a license to be unkind. Boundaries sound like a good choice. Respect has to be there, always. Sorry this is another layer you are dealing with. Big ❤️❤️

Masks matching out there tights, I never thought to mix and match @CheerBear .

Just some fun sharing. I got the most colourful pain of shoes delivered yesterday. I will be wearing them to physio today. 👍👍👍

Pair of shoes @CheerBear not pain. 😬😬

Re: Taking the plunge

😂 with the question mark!

I'm really hoping it's a passing illness @Maggie. They're 100% inside creatures and have never stepped foot in the outside world, so they stay pretty healthy. Every now and then one gets a sniffle or irritated eye etc. This is sneezing a lot, but only one day of it really so maybe I just have to wait. She's usually so energetic and bonkers and isn't at the moment which is making me feel sad. I guess its normal even for them to have days and times where they're not 100% maybe. Like babies it sucks when they're sick. They can't tell us clearly what's going on or what they need 🙁

Thank you, as always, for listening so well ❤

Oooh so much yay for colourful shoes (and extra yay that theyre not pain shoes haha 😂!). We need more colour in the world 🌈 How are you feeling about physio? Is anyone going with you?

Re: Taking the plunge

Poor little Rocket. It might be a passing thing. @CheerBear , you are a very good mum, she’s in good hands. My girl has a quiet day here and there, so it might just be a normal little sniffle. I know how worrying it is though. 😻😻

Counsellor always offers to come with me @CheerBear , but I worry about taking up her time. Sometimes, appointments don’t go by the clock, and I get myself into a mess worrying about her, so I go myself now. It’s over the top stressful, but it’s just me, not worrying for two. I don’t think it will be a long term thing, I hope not anyway.

Yes, black, black, grey T-shirt, but very colourful feet. I’ve always had a shoe thing, even in the convent, though they were black, they were trendy, and I was told I was a worldly nun. 😂😂😂

Re: Taking the plunge

Black black and colour pops - kindred spirits maybe @Maggie 😁🌈 I love that you were told you were a worldly nun 😍

We'll be with you for your appt and the cool thing about us is we have all the time in the world, so no issues with appts going over. I'll be thinking of you lots, looking forward to hearing how you go and really hoping it's helpful for you.

I'm pinterest dreaming - fabric this time. I always wanted to make a proper quilt but didn't have the resources to while they were under the control of someone else. Now with the machine on its way I can see myself wanting to make more than masks shortly after I get it haha. I can't get to wood and fire, maybe fabric is the next best thing. Its kind of a running joke that well one and I jump from thing to thing. It used to feel like judgement until I started giving no :pile_of_poo:'s. Creating can only be a good thing I think, and I have a feeling you feel the same.

I don't know if I mentioned yesterday that the new routine here is for the little two to start school at ridiculously early o'clock - totally their choice. They get straight into it, heads down and bums up, so they're finished by 10ish and can enjoy the rest of the day. It's SO good. They're busy, quiet and hard at work, then content, chill and free for the rest of the day (mostly chill, mostly content haha).

Re: Taking the plunge

A quilt @CheerBear 👍👍👍👍 Will it be patchwork? 😍😍😍😍

I do 100 percent understand the jumping from one thing to the other. I was telling my student about nail glitter and stones. She’s excited, saying, I’ve got so much I want to learn and do now. She’s 87 now, and contagious. Any excuse will do for me.

Rediculous o’clock starts, with bums up and heads down, finish at 10ish, with time to play, sounds like some fun, plus, content and chill. Good thinking from the little Crew.

I looked out my front window, and my neighbors large black dog is sitting on a frosty white lawn, with his owners flannellett shirt on. Sleeves rolled up. It gave me a warm smile.

Sending lots of 💕💕💕💕

I will remember you are sitting at the physio with me. 😍😍😍☃️

Thinking of you and sending warm well-wishes @Maggie @CheerBear and others here. Hope today goes gently for all and goals are reached. I'm busy here avoiding a bunch of NDIS related admin and phone calls!

Re: Taking the plunge

Hi there @Maggie @CheerBear 👋🤗🥰❤️
Wish I could say, I'm ok, but I'm not coping well at all. My nerves are shattered and I'm the driver here. Ugh 😩 I hate driving lately. The traffic is chaotic.
I keep hoping for a break with dramas or some relief, but that doesn't happen.
More bad news for d yesterday. Unbelievable really.
I can't wait until h can drive again. Recovery is a way off yet.
Sorry for the whinge. It somehow helps at times. Other times I can't say anything.
Drink gives temporary relief, but it's affecting me physically and emotionally. So I'm trying to cut down and stop. Haven't touched any for over a week.
I need to get another coffee and get ready to chauffeur again.
I hope your day goes ok.
Thinking of you both.
Will read back later hopefully. See how the day goes. Hoping your struggles are easing.
Take care. Hugs and hugs. 🤗
