Re: Taking the plunge
I was wondering how your son was coping. I'm really glad to hear he's doing better now, though happy at tbat time of the day is fun haha!
I had a feeling it was a " had to" kind of quiet yesterday. Big love love that. It's sounding dark there. Quiet again today - I hope it has some feel OK in it.
Today is our back to school day. The littler two are doing lots more school this round, including video classes a couple of times a day. I'm dreading it. We are very fine keeping the OK-ness here by doing what we all want to do. School will change that for everyone. There's lots to organise as they'll be going it almost alone tomorrow as I'm working. I want to chalk paint Little's desk seeing as I have some left over from my desk.

Also glad to hear you're free of lockdown. I too wish people were more cautious. Even here it's ridiculous how many I see not caring at all. Shaking my head constantly 😑 Hope the in-office/at-home is OK enough.

Re: Taking the plunge
Thanks @Maggie. The one real problem for me is psych not replying. I don't see him til the week after next, since he didn't reply to me asking for an earlier session. Even if he did get back to me, next week is just too busy for me to know when there'd be an OK time to talk... So it might just be better in the long run not to hear from him at all until the session, even though at the moment it wouldn't feel better.
I have a trip to the shopping centre planned, for new work pants (mine have a gradually enlarging hole, and all my other pants don't fit), a door seal (to stop someone's smoking from coming up the stairwell into my apartment), some pegs (sick of dealing with broken snapped pegs), maybe some model making stuff (tweezers, brushes, eyedropper) if I can figure out where to get them (although I still can't start without paints which would have to be a separate trip to elsewhere with more planning first), and bubble tea as a treat.

Chalk paint littles desk @CheerBear That sounds like fun.
Back to school organising today. I would be dreading the video classes, just the thought of it dropping out and not knowing what to do would mess with my brain. I have completely messed up my laptop set up. 😂😂 Counsellor set it up, then in the afternoon, I confidently opened up, only to receive an urgent email on my iPad. Someone was trying to break in to my data......it was me. 😂😂 Now Its blocked. Just imagine what I could achieve with online school. 🤣🤣🤣
It is dark here @CheerBear , and motivation just isn’t happening. Oh well. Life sucks.

@TheVorticon I just think it’s rude of your psych not to reply. That must feel really awful. I’m really sorry you are treated like that. It’s so disrespectful.
Lots of bits and pieces by the sound of your shopping trip.
What’s bubble tea ? ☕️☕️

Re: Taking the plunge
Thanks @Maggie . My assumption is that he's having a week's holiday and didn't think it necessary to let me know because my session wouldn't be affected. If so I genuinely do hope he's having a good break but I'll be speaking to him about how helpful out-of-office replies would be.
Most people I've mentioned this to (online) are on the "psych's a jerk for not replying" train and I'm prepared to tell him about his anti-fan club, but mostly I just feel anxious and sad about it rather than angry.
I always save the shopping trip until I need a bunch of things because it takes a while to get there/back without a car.
Bubble tea is a Taiwanese cold drink where you pick your flavour of tea and whether you want tapioca sugar balls (also called pearls, bubbles or boba) or jelly pieces in the drink. I can't figure out the new image uploading thing from URLs haha. But I like oolong milk tea with the tapioca pearls. It contains a lot of sugar so can't have it often. They have big straws to let you suck up the pearls. My #1 favourite drink at the moment 😉

I'm really sorry to hear that you're in a dark place. That must be really tough. 😞 I'd bring you back a bright colourful bubble tea if it would help (getting one for you to try would also force me to get one rather than chicken out at the thought of interacting to buy one, which is a very real possibility today).

Re: Taking the plunge
I looked up ‘ bubble tea’ @TheVorticon . I can’t believe it’s been around since the 80s, and I’ve never heard of it till today.
The thought is a lovely one. A bright coloured tea, with lots of sugar. 😳😳
I can hear a lot of understanding towards your psych, even though his communication sucks. I’m hoping there’s something there worthwhile for you. Tricky finding a good fit.
I hope you manage to buy yourself a treat today. 🤞🤞🤞
Nice chatting this morning. Lots of these. 💕💕💕💕
