Re: Taking the plunge
@Maggie sorry for the big drop out yesterday. Well person called and from the moment we finished chatting, I didn't stop. I was still sewing into the small hours of this morning.
I had a dream about a mental health art exhibition. I went and viewed some art from someone I know 😁👍❤
How was your yesterday and how are you doing today?
@TheVorticon so great to hear from you, thank you.
I really like the idea of seeking some extra suppirt to work through tricky communication with your psych (though that can seem twisted up). I hope it has helped/helps. Also hoping you managed some sleep. Insomnia stinks. Thanks for the comment re my desk 😊

@CheerBear Yeah to insomnia and way out dreams. We’re there any winners in the competition ?.Lol 😁❤️👍
Jokes aside, I am sorry about your lack of sleep. How are the masks going ? 😷😷😷
I had a really quiet day yesterday. Today is looking much the same.
How is today looking for you ? Any rest time ?.

Re: Taking the plunge
We finished this bundle of masks. There were 24 from memory. Well person was the only fun one (haha) who wanted colour and pattern. They have a range of them to choose from now. 2 parcels are getting posted today, so the crew did some drawings etc to send too. Last lock down that kind of connection felt so important. It feels even more important this time. Well and unwell one's are going OK so far, but staying far away from anyone so it's very isolating. Other sib and sib-in-law-to-be are both front line health workers, both with elderly. The bug has hit there more than once now which is super stressful and really quite shattering for them.
Was your day yesterday quiet by choice, or quite because it had to be? (That makes more sense in my head!).
When do you think your sparkly foil might arrive? I have a craft order in processing land. Super excited.
Still up @TheVorticon. Does that mean no sleep?

Re: Taking the plunge
@Maggie @CheerBear I did actually get back to sleep, only to have a dream about being tricked into involuntary hospitalisation due to the new/temporary psych, with my normal psych still not making an appearance. Far out! :face_with_rolling_eyes: I was arguing and that of course didn't help in the dream.
In reality (and in the dream) there is no reason the temp psych would see a need for that cause I'm not at risk and the trickery would be unethical. Lucky the dream ended before anything actually happened. And then turned into a work-dream including an old manager who left the company a year ago, new people that joined recently, and a weird mix of social distancing / not-distancing stuff. 😜
The rest of today will be much less eventful. 😛

I'm not sure I know where-ish you are and therefore whether you're living in increasing lockdown or are relatively free from it now. How's it all going for you? Are you still working from home?

Re: Taking the plunge
@CheerBear Big 💕💕 for the excited and proud feels.
Oh gosh, 24 masks is a lot, more to come. Go you. 👍👍
I really understand what the isolation must be feeling like for you all. Trying to keep unwell, person as safe as possible. Really hard and sad. And with sib and sib in laws on the front line, tricky and ( I can’t think of a word there ), wanting to help, but not getting infected, so hard living through this time.
I know how I felt when bros state was high risk. By the way, he rang last Sunday at 9 am, way tooooo happy for that time of day, but life is moving in his direction, or at least, for The moment it is. 😁😁
Yesterday had to be quiet @CheerBear. Meshed brain. 😬😬

Re: Taking the plunge
There's a definite funny side to having such a far out dream @CheerBear 😆 Yours does sound nicer 🙂
I saw her on Friday. It was actually pretty good, even though she definitely wouldn't have been my choice of person when I looked her up online based on the specialisations. Came up with some strategies for discussing with normal psych, and a strategy to bring up the topic in the first place.
I'm in a spot that's fortunate enough to be free of lockdowns for now. I wish people would be more cautious though, especially now that we've seen how easy it is to end up back there 😞 I've got an in-office/at-home roster to adhere to.

Re: Taking the plunge
@TheVorticon Tricky dreams, exhausting I would imagine. I hope it’s not drawn out for you, like not needing to wait it out.
I really hope today is relaxing. Any plans, or is it a day that will happen. .?.
