Re: Taking the plunge
Wow Maggie - that is HUGE and brave! How long have you been thinking of doing this? Far out I wish I could know all of the details, but clearly can't with this one. Super excited for you. Is it the original piece, or a photo? All the questions...
I slept in 🎉 I needed it!
How's today looking?

Re: Taking the plunge
I haven’t been thinking of it at all @CheerBear . Counsellor mentioned it yesterday. It’s a mental health exhibition. Spur of the moment madness, and fears. Photo first, then the short list ones go on display. It’s a weird, messy feeling inside. Excited, mixed with messy ouchies. 😂😂😂
I’m pleased you slept in, but it’s only by a tiny bit.
Have you heard from Mr Person? I hope he is doing ok enough. 💕
I might have a pj day today @CheerBear , feeling zapped. It’s been an awful week.
Any more sewing in your house today ? Or wood ?

Re: Taking the plunge
It's been a really full on week for you so pj day sounds perfect.
Mr Person and I had a lovely chat last night. CATT are helpful for him and keen to support him. They'll hopefully be able to advocate for him in ways he can't right now and I'd love to but can't (and shouldn't). He's thankful they're involved which speaks volumes to me about it being a good thing they are. Tough for him to feel that this is a backward step. It isn't but I can see how it feels that way as I've felt that way about it when it's been happening for me too.
Big and I have set up a production line for sewing 😆 We have lots to make and I'm hoping today we'll get them done ready for posting tomorrow. Lots of boring black for people, but some super fun and funky ones in the mix too. Everyone needs them now and it will feel good to know we've helped out a bit there.

Re: Taking the plunge
It was a big day with counsellor yesterday @CheerBear. The big S word came out. She hears, but doesn’t panic, something I need. She shared how she has lost some, and I saw that tear I notice every now and then. Deep compassion and care. It’s a costly position, walking with the wounded, but rewarding in small ways. We affect each other, regardless of position. We are all human .
Yes, a huge step for me. I don’t have any expectations of it getting anywhere. That doesn’t actually matter. I think how you put it is accurate ‘ go away’. It’s an achievement, one I never saw myself doing. But scary, and rejection is looming.
CATT sound like they are really helping Mr person. I understand too, how it feels like a huge step backwards. We can’t always see , when the darkness hits hard. He is lucky to have you walking with him, through I know it’s super hard for both of you.
yes to the production line today. 👍👍👍 They sound tricky to make, fiddly. I think there will be some smiley faces, when they are received.

Hope everyone's getting a good night's rest (and doesn't have 2:30am insomnia like me 😅). I've ended up seeing another psych to get help with talking to my psych, sort of like CheerBear had to do. My psych doesn't know since we haven't spoken yet :face_with_rolling_eyes:🙃
Excited for you about entering your work @Maggie 😀
And glad to hear @CheerBear that you're working with Big on the masks and you were able to help Mr Person get some support. Your desk looks awesome BTW.
Thinking of you both.
