Re: Taking the plunge

Hi @CheerBear , Nothing ‘ big’ was shared, just ‘ felt’. I think the puzzle piece is still looking for where to fit, if that makes any sense. It’s a go slow day today, not that I’m ever in the fast lane, but slower than normal. Better than yesterday.

How are you after your shock news yesterday? Did you manage to sleep.?

Hi @Former-Member @TheVorticon @outlander @eth and everyone 👋👋👋

Re: Taking the plunge

I'm so glad to see you this morning @Maggie 💜

Sometimes the 'felt' can be harder than the shared I think. The shared can be identified and untangled with someone (sometimes). The felt for me triggers lots of stuff. It leads to more feelings, more bubbling and more twisted and it tangles itself up in all kinds of other 'felts'. That's really tough 🙁

Did counsellor pick up on it?

I'm ok after yesterday thanks. I think I worked though a lot of it when our GP thought about and looked into a different ED a while ago, so it settled easier last night. My plan is to try and put it on the shelf until we see our GP later next week. I'm glad it will open up options for support. Muddled Miss Middle needs that.

Go slow day sounds good. How do think you will spend it?

Re: Taking the plunge

I don’t know if counsellor picked up on it @CheerBear . She never pushes, she waits to the green light from us. But yes, more bubbling, twisting and tangling. Oh for the normal life. Sometimes, not too often, I envy the uncomplicated. It will settle.....eventually.

Not sure how today will go. I’m waiting for new paints to arrive. Yummy colours, so don’t want to paint till they come. I looked at dotting on tiles, as I have quite a few 1inch white ones. Multi surface paint then in the oven, no resin needed. 👍

Muddled Miss Middle @CheerBear big hug for her. She’s a tough one, stretching your resources. I think getting onto this early is the best thing anyone can do. Big hug for you. 😘😘

How’s today looking for you? Pj day?

Re: Taking the plunge

🙁 You haven't had a very good time of it lately @Maggie. Having all this tricky happening with and during time with counsellor would feel not-great I imagine. I hope it settled sooner rather than later for you.

Are your tiles 1 inch on each side? That's small if so! Tiny paint. What will you paint on them? I like the sound of new colours and of multi surface paint 😍

My day is very much an organising day. A proper supermarket shop, mountain of washing and a whole lot of cleaning up. I'm kind of looking forward to it. I don't like the place being as messy as it is at the moment and I'd like to have dinners and food sorted, at least for a little stretch of days. Might try some more Indian as a treat tonight or tomorrow too. I also have to find a headset (one with earphones and a microphone that comes off the side and sits near your mouth). I'm behind, waaaaay behind, on office stuff, and things like this have sold out everywhere. If I'd known I was going to have this job I would have done it sooner but now I am having to really hunt. Work from home will be happening for at least another month and possibly from here on (at least part of the time). Its changed the way we work and some of it has been for the better so there are plans to at least consider how we might carry some of it into the future.

Spotlight might happen too. Littler ones want glue for slime and Big has been cross stitching which is very cool 😎 (and made me think of you!).

Re: Taking the plunge

Yes @CheerBear 1 inch all round tiles. I’ve tried them on mosaic, but they are too big for the paver trying to make a pattern around them. I don’t want to break them into pieces, they are too good. Some stones are tricky and small, so dotting, hopefully, might work, or it might not.😁😁

Getting through a mountain of washing, cleaning and cooking sounds busy, but definitely a good sounding day. It’s a break from the head stuff if nothing else. And Indian cooking after, sounding and smelling good, even from tassie. 😂😂

I really would like to try it sometime.

Are we all coming to spotlight with you @CheerBear 😊😊😊

Re: Taking the plunge

Oooh I hope you have fun playing with those tiles when you get to them @Maggie. I wish we could play craft together in person!

I've been a bit inspired by Big I think. I went rummaging a moment ago, through the craft stash to look for what Big might need, and found a x stitch I had been working on last year but didn't finish. I'm further along than I remembered so maybe it's time to finish it. It says "do no harm but take no :pile_of_poo:". I've done the words but it has pretty flowers around it to do which make me giggle as the contrast between the words and the picture is fun. I think it will look great hanging right next to my shiny degree and diploma 😁 Great reminder of why I did that study and perhaps a replacement pic for the one I had printed on my desk 🤔

Yes please, everyone can come to spotlight! And then we can have Indian for dinner here! (How I wish!) Middle will tag along while we're at Spotlight. They have birthday money they'd like to spend on paint. They're the more arty one. Big is a bit of a crafty one and will pick up anything to have a go. Little is the messy one haha.

I'm going to find my butt 😉😆 and get into some cleaning so we can head out.

Thinking of you lots ❤🦄

Re: Taking the plunge

I love the sound of your + stitch @CheerBear . Powerful words to think about. I love words. How different countries and cultures have different meanings. Not always good at saying the tricky, but finding meaning in and around.

You have crafty kids, no surprise there. I hope Big enjoys finishing what you started.

See you at spotlight . Looking forward to Indian meal afterwards, then talk talk talk about crafty stuff. Nice to dream.

Lots of 💙💙💙💙💙

Re: Taking the plunge

Coming with you both to Spotlight @CheerBear @Maggie . I have a members birthday gift voucher to use up by Monday.

Nice catching up with you ladies in the mornings. Hope my presence does not feel like Im stalking you or anything. Especially when Im not feeling talkative.

You both inspire me, and I appreciate you both very much.

Slow start here. Hubby still sleeping. New meds appear to have knocked him out. 👍 This is a good thing. Will see how its affected him in the aftermath as the day progresses.

Enjoy your day.

Sherry 🐶💕
