Hi @eth ... always a pleasure to see you, and your water lily profile pic (I used to have one like it, but lost it last year) .. and thanks for the morning greeting. 💕 Hope your day is a good one.

Re: Taking the plunge
@CheerBear You didn’t have a good start yesterday, I hope it turned out ‘doable ‘with some unexpected ‘ got this’ moments.
I read mould arrived yesterday and powder today. I know it’s gig today, ( if that is a ‘ go ahead’. So possibly no stone making in the next 24 hrs I guess.
Leaving an early coffee, a strong one, hoping today is a good enough day, given the impossible ness it can sometimes look like. ☕️☕️☕️💙💙💙

Yesterday was OK once the wonky left thanks Maggie. It was a long but productive day.
Yes powder should arrive today and I if so, I'll definitely have a go at making something with it. How long do they need to be in the mould for, from your experience? I will have more of a read around for some how-to's before I play. I'm guessing it's only possible to make one a day maybe? Yep, gig day today too 🙂
How was your yesterday?

@CheerBear So p,eased yesterday was productive, sorry it was a long one. Draining I imagine there. 💜
You leave them in the mould for 24 hrs from what I can remember. They get hot. Once out of the mould they can take a few more days to dry out. Then, they need a primer before paint.
Gig today. 👍👍 I hope it’s a good day there. 🤞🤞🤞
My Yesterday didn’t end well. My spine had a pain spike, so all I could do was go to bed. Frustrating, but there’s nothing I can do really. I might have a pj day today. It’s feeling a bit better, so I might not. Undecided obviously.

@CheerBear I forgot to mention in the ⬆️ Post. There is some very inspiring reading in the ‘ Writing as a form of therapy ‘ thread. The last two posts I found had some gems. You might, or might not be interested. Just though I’d mention it. 💜

Re: Taking the plunge
So the stones are an exercise in patience I am hearing? Haha. Not my strong suit :face_with_rolling_eyes: Maybe I can make a few this week ready for painting next week. I didn't realise one of the moulds I bought isn't the size I wanted. It's the big sphere. Well person does resin art stuff so I'm sending it to them to play with but might make a stone or two with it myself, just in case, first.

Re: Taking the plunge
@CheerBear I’m not really sure why it spikes, I think it moves round your body. It’s just the spine area really stops you in your tracks. Yes, pj days are good for sure.
Definately an exercise in patient @CheerBear. But worth the wait. They really only take a few minutes to actually mix, just the drying sucks. I like the big one, room to move on there. Just depends on what you like.
