Re: Taking the plunge

Morning 🙂

I've been in a crash kind of funk over the weekend. It's the kind of tired where every tiny thing feels like a huge use of energy I just haven't had. I'm hoping that having as much of a rest as I could have had will help to start this week. I'm also hoping that magically schools reopen and the world is normal again, but I'm not liking my chances of that :face_with_rolling_eyes:

How was the weekend for everyone here? I'll have a wander around the forum in a moment.

How was counsellor on Friday @Maggie? And your soup and biccies (yum!)?

@Former-Member and any other early birds - cuppa?

Re: Taking the plunge

It’s good to see you @CheerBear , I guessed a crash might have happened. Sorry. 💜💜💜

There was a lot of extras on your plate last week, on top of the new world extras we now try to live with.

Councellor was good/bad. Things get stirred and take time to settle, if settle is something achievable in my world.

Soup and bickies, eye roll. My kitchen was more than lost for some hours. But needing to find the kettle was motivation enough to search. Never again. But both were eatable, in need of work which won’t happen.

I’m hoping this week will be manageable in your world. There is talk of easing restrictions, but it’s state by state.

I’m heading for a Topup, can I make you one? ☕️💙💜

@Former-Member Leaving a cup of tea here for you ☕️☕️💙💙

@Shaz51 @Appleblossom @TheVorticon @eth @outlander and anyone passing. 👋👋💜💜☕️☕️

Re: Taking the plunge

Hey @Maggie 😊 It's nice to see you 💜

I hope that the stirring up of things with counsellor settled as much as they can? I had a little giggle at both soup and biccies being in need of work *which won't happen*. It's such an effort to make kitchen things the idea of making them again and hoping for a better outcome doesn't sound appealing. I feel like I'm constantly chasing my tail looking for the kitchen here at the moment. With the house always full it's a never ending battle. I'm so over it 😑

I'm looking at other states feeling a bit jealous at the moment. Ours has been one of the most tough re schools from what I can see but hopefully 🤞. I would feel a bit mixed about schools being open if we still couldn't see family and friends though.

Cuppa would be fab thanks. Strong please 😁

How's your day looking today?

Re: Taking the plunge

I watched master chef @CheerBear, got a bit ahead of myself. They always make it look so easy. Besides, someone else does the washing up and cleaning.

I can’t believe what they do with food. Such a shame it lasts such a short time. I’m no kitchen girl.

Chasing your tail sound exhausting @CheerBear. It’s a tough call, as you need the space to provide the goods. I can imagine being well and truly over it.

Yea, I understand the dilemma of open schools and no visiting, it’s confusing in many ways, or it is to me.

Nice strong one coming up.

I have cleaning help this morning. Very necessary. I will be chasing a few things before she arrives, but it’s good once she’s been. I’ve actually missed her.

Have you had garden help again, or has it slowed right down.?

Re: Taking the plunge

Ive been watching SBS food channel a little and thought the same thing @Maggie. They make it look easier than it is. And someone helps with the clean up. And they have the space and all of the gadgets and ingredients. Definitely not like that here :face_with_rolling_eyes: I hope to play with some dough again though. That's been fun.

I'm confused and have been since this started 😑

I was wondering if cleaning helping person might be back today. So good that you've got that today. I hope it feels better for you there once she's finished.

I haven't had anymore garden help but might look into it this week. The rain and sun has made it grow thick and green again. I think I could justify it in myself because of how tired and stressed I've been. Plus the funding is there for that so I might as well use it.

Have you been crafting at all? Hoping very much that I will see some moulds and powder arrive this week 🤞

Re: Taking the plunge

@Maggie @CheerBear So good to see you both again. 😀

Thanks for cuppa .. its going down well. I too have been watching Masterchef @Maggie .

It is Mr Sherrys 72nd birthday today. Got latest Wilbur Smith book for him. He has full collection of first editions. Also poppy and cornflower diamond painting, which I finally completed on Saturday.

Nothing else planned. Good thing cleaner is back today @Maggie .. she can help find kitchen.

Hope today is one of your better days @CheerBear @Maggie 😀

Sherry 💕

Re: Taking the plunge

I got a bit excited at your mention of moulds and powder @CheerBear . It’s a small window of escape maybe 🤔🤔

I have painted two stones. I will finish them today and put them up for you to see. Much rather do that than kitchen stuff. I wish it was eatable, but I might be the size of a house if it was. Oh well. Soup and bickies it is then.

Garden help is necessary @CheerBear, you can only do so much. Try not to push if you have opportunity at all. Just concerned, not being bossy. 💙💙

Re: Taking the plunge

Happy Birthday Mr Sherry. 🎂🎉🎊@Former-Member I have no doubt you will prepare a beautiful meal and some extras today. I just hope it’s appreciated. 🤞🤞

Oh, are you going to share a pic of your diamond painting, or is it too personal?

Good on you for getting it finished, specially since it’s been so stressful for you lately.

I hope today is one of the better ones for you also @Former-Member 💜💜🐾🐾🐶🐶🎁🎁🎁

Re: Taking the plunge

Sorry to drop out. Crew up and grumpy about it being a non-school school day :face_with_rolling_eyes: They've been home six weeks tomorrow, if I remember correctly. Week 3 of school from home this week and they, like me, are super over it. The work the little two have been set this week looks overwhelming. I have a feeling it will be a long day today 😑

Happy birthday Mr Sherry. Sending you hugs @Former-Member. I wonder whether the expectations on you today are even more than they usually are. I hope there's some down time in there for you.

Just got a notification that the moulds are coming today @Maggie 🎉. No sign of powder though 😏 I'll chase it up today. I am looking forward to seeing your stones.

Hope cleaning goes well. I'm off to set up some spaces for two cranky crew members to work without ending each other. Ugh 😕 This is really not fun anymore.
