Re: Taking the plunge
You're right with the littler people. Even with mine being old enough to talk about their thoughts and feelings they still throw me sometimes. I can think they're going OK and then suddenly they aren't, or think they're not doing so well then watch them laughing and playing. I've been very proud of the way they've taken the shut down but they have their moments like we all do. Unfortunately it seemed we were all having moments simultaneously yesterday.
My early morning chalk order was cancelled which was disappointing. I had to pre-order some more from an online toy store. Pre-ordering chalk, something we've always been able to get, was just another reminder of the strange times.
Middle, Little and I all sat in my room (part bedroom, part office, part second lounge room 😆) and watched a show about how dogs got their shapes. Lots of Chihuahuas in it which made me think of you 😊
How's your today looking?

Wow, is there a chalk shortage @CheerBear , or is it boarders closing etc? I guess there will be a lot of wow out there. Nothing that is our ‘normal’ atm.
I saw how shoppers will be waiting in line as numbers are reduced inside shops. It’s really out there in many ways. It really is a one step at a time for everyone now.
Aww, the dog show. I kind of expected a cat show at your place. 🐯🐯🐯
I’m working on an old CD @CheerBear . You can remove the label, harder than it looks, and make a sun catcher. I had to paint mine, as it got scratched trying to get the label off. They make it look so easy. But the idea is a good one I thought.
How is your day looking today?
How is Big?

Cool with the CD. What do you do with it once you've taken the label off, if it isn't painting it?
I have my gig today and will hopefully be doing some work I usually do (calls). I'm also at a fun point of my Switch game so I'll play that later. Middle and I have been doing folded surprise kind of drawings so maybe finish them off also. Big was super unwell yesterday. Haven't seen them yet this morning. I'll call the dr if they're not better.

I’ll put the suncatcher on the craft thread @CheerBear . Really looks impressive, once the label is off of course. 😂😂😂
I’m waiting for a priority box from woollies to arrive. I think it’s wise to reserve energies if possible. Online shopping might help, especially if you are waiting long periods before shopping. Some angry shoppers I imagine.
I hope gig goes well today @CheerBear . Your other activities sound very interesting.
Really hope Big is feeling better today. That’s a real worry.
I’m going to do a feral run to the IGA for milk and bread. Scary stuff. I need a second coffee. ☕️☕️💙💙💙

Re: Taking the plunge
Hi @Maggie @CheerBear @outlander and anyone else around here today.
Maggie I've seen a mobile made from stripped CDs hanging in a tree in the sunshine and the breeze blew so it moved and there were rainbows reflected from them dancing around - beautiful.
CheerBear I really hope your big feels better today. And that your work day goes to plan.
Hugs to everyone who wants one xoxo

Just back from my run to IGA @Maggie (excpet I don't run). I think they were surprised to see me not in my pj pants for a change 😆 Hope your trip there went OK and the coffee is extra good 😊

Re: Taking the plunge
Thanks @CheerBear no specific plans at this stage but I will have a shower, wash my hair, and get on the exercise bike. I did my domestic chores yesterday (floor, dishes, clothes washing, sweeping the big concrete slab outside the cabin - all the mundane stuff) so that feels better this morning. My internet just dropped out so I'll possibly have to post this later - oh it seems to have come back on. I get quite alarmed when either the wifi or my phone lose signal. I would hate for both to go at the same time, even tho' there are other people here, it makes me feel way more cut off from the world.
I've been writing a journal for the last week or so about the whole business of living with the virus reality. Have just written in detail about how we wash all our groceries before bringing them into the house/cabin. And how we have 'clean' and 'dirty' areas in the car and clean ourselves if we've been out. We started all this over a week ago and I'm still wrapping my head around just how constantly vigillant we now have to be. I spent the last 3 years in therapy learning to be less hyper-vigillant and less OCD and having to do all this feels like such a challenge for me in terms of effect on MH.
Looking forward to my support worker calling me for an hour's chat later on.
@Maggie @outlander @Shaz51 @Zoe7 @Faith-and-Hope
Take care everyone, stay safe and stay kind xoxo
