Re: Taking the plunge
I understand when you drop out @CheerBear . A waking crew, another moggie,,or a bro surfacing, a phone call from well or unwell person, or new person. You have many to think of, you are busy. 💜💜💜
Gooy slice, yum.👍👍💙💙
I have a heat pump here, so I guess it will be warm. I haven’t turned it on yet. I have an electric blanket that went on my bed yesterday and was turned on. Oh that was/ is a nice feeling.
I also did something really really special. I ordered a wool doona. It has arrived. So that an an electric blanket are feeling heavenly. ☁️☁️☁️🌈🌈🌈
I talked to my yearly visitor friend yesterday. Caught up on how it might be affecting her family, so it was nice to chat for awhile. Nothing else got done though.

👍 for chatting. Hopefully nice to have a little company or distraction for a while.
How's today looking for you, aside from cold? I'm going to keep working at the research I was doing. Might 'bump' in to your counsellor on the phone, if I haven't already (not that I would know if it was your counsellor) 🙂 Big has school work to do so we'll both use my room as an office.

Re: Taking the plunge
I guess there is no end to research in the areas you are working in @CheerBear . I wonder if some might be frustrating. I was horrified to see how nurses are being treated in some cases. I’m sure it’s not nurses alone, but those in the front line. Fear can cause people to act strangely selfish. I hope we are moving past self preservation at any cost. Just me having a rave. Sorry. It’s just hard for those giving up so much.
Yes, it was good chatting yesterday. We have very different thoughts on some things, our life experiences have been different, but we do hear each other, or at least, we try to.
I might pull out some cross stitch. I really would like to finish the one I started a few years ago. Maybe even make it a project for the isolation period.
I’m heading for a second. ☕️☕️ Are you ready?

Re: Taking the plunge
I could do this research for the rest of forever and still not finish it. Things are changing so quickly also that something which was the case last week may not be the case today. Still worth it though.
It is so full on to see the anger of people come out in the way it has. So much is driven by fear I think also. Confusion, grief, helplessness... Hard. Very hard for those experiencing it and also having that anger directed at them too. There are some very sad stories going around.
I watched the queen's speech a moment ago. I'm not usually in to anything like that but felt touched by it. She mentioned it reminding her of her first broadcast in 1940 to children during the war. I then went and listened to that speech also and found it equally touching. Such an incredible time we are living through. Fascinating, scary, mixed up, bonkers-ness.
Cross stitch sounds like a great thing to do today. How much do you have left of it?
My crafty side wants to do something but I'm struggling to find what, or to find where maybe. There's nowhere quiet to sit with something absorbing for long. The crew and I did some fun drawing last night, inspired by a not-very-arty other sibling who picked up pencils out of the blue. They drew something for my kids then took a photo to send it to them. So nice to be sharing moments of connection that would have been unheard of only weeks ago.

Re: Taking the plunge
I haven’t heard either of the queens speeches @CheerBear . I’m like you there, not interested. I will listen now though, as you have mentioned being touched by her words.
Sorry Big is unwell. I hope today brings relief there. It must be scary atm. I would be anyway. Cats are amazing. 👍👍👍🐯🐯🐯
Yes, sadness and fear. I have a weird thought going throug my mind @CheerBear , but I look forward to the day, but I might well never witness it, when mentally ill, gay, lesbian, black white, Christian, Buddhist, rich, poor, from all corners of the earth can sit together and hear, celebrate and belong together. No one thinking they are right or wrong, just accepting differences and celebrating them. What a day.
I’m only half way with cross stitch. But I hope to eventually finish it. 🤞🤞🤞
I’m struggling with crafty stuff too. I have the time and space, but getting something done isn’t really happening atm. It might be all the bonkers going on. It’s hard to know how deeply it affects us really, but it does.
Yea to sib and drawing. Who knows what might come through. Connectedness is so important, especially at the moment. 💜💜💜🐶🐶🐶

I had a little shiver reading about your hope for all together. A hope of mine also. It would be incredible ❤
I better fly for a bit and see how the others are going. I hope you find some comfort or distraction in your cross stitch. Am thinking of you ☕❤

@CheerBear Dropping off an early coffee. ☕️☕️☕️
I hope Bigs temp improved yesterday. I had visions of you needing to go to the germ factory. I hope not. Sending you both some 💙💙💙💙
How did the research go? There are some special things happening. Who knows what will happen.
Hope to catch ya later.

Re: Taking the plunge
We didn't have a good day yesterday. I did some research but called it quits early as the crew were having a day. Everyone was a bit grumpy and snappy, Middle was teary, Big was on and off sleeping. It was blegh. I had enough of 'stay home' yesterday.
New day today.
I love those chalk drawings 😊 That's very much what our driveway and the footpath outside looked like. Looking forward to chalk arriving in the mail.
How was your yesterday and how are you going this morning?

Re: Taking the plunge
My yesterday was blah also @CheerBear . I tried eating something that said no, not staying there. I checked my bp which was high. So I increased my dose. Feeling a bit more human today.
It really is tough with littles and confinement. So much energy, with nowhere to burn it off. I wonder what goes on inside their little minds. Uncertainty is really tough, regardless of age. At least as adults, we might have a better understanding, then that shakes too. Uncertain times.
I hope chalk arrives soon. It looks like fun.
Cold here, but yesterday turned out beautiful weather wise.
