Re: Taking the plunge
Hi everyone 👋💕☕️
In asnwer to your question about church @Former-Member:
Our church services, while they don't ever stop if the priests are still standing, we were advised from the very top of the organisational hierarchy as parishioners to stop attending from last week until further notice. The priest and an attendant or two can keep the services going in the church, or other replacement venue if absolutely necessary, for as long as they are well.
If parishioners do choose to turn up, there will be notices up advising them that they ought to worship from home for now, knowing that the priest is still conducting the services regardless, and they can "follow along" with a service book in spirit from home.
The parishioners can't actually be forced to turn away from the church building if they still choose to come though, but I am sure social distancing would then be insisted upon ..... but most will do as they have been asked, and not attend.
Services will be live-streamed from some parishes, for those who have the tech support to access them.

@CheerBear ... thats lovely that Mr Friends parents are keeping in touch with you via text. Clearly they are aware that you are supportive of their son during his times of being at risk. This is a big thing for them, and also for you and Mr Friend.
Thanks for the info re church services @Faith-and-Hope. That sounds like a sensible arrangement and at the same time complying with distancing regulations. I'm sure most people will want to worship from home whereever possible during these worrying times. Modern technology is a wonderful thing, in that it allows people to keep in touch, without being within touching distance.
Hi @outlander ... hope your day goes well.
@Maggie ... given your absence I suspect you are not in a good place ... so I'm keeping you company in the darkness. 💕

Good morning everyone. I'm gearing up to go to the shops! Bit more exciting than usual these days haha Let me know if you need anything and if it's there I'll bring it back, assuming I can carry it while walking home ![]()
I wonder what percentage of my grocery list will be unfullfilled, but I might as well treat it as a game and see what whacky meal combinations I have to eat in the meantime. 🙂 For real I'm not doing badly at all in the food department, cause living on my own I don't go through too much stuff.
Hope everyone's having an ok day.

Re: Taking the plunge
Thanks @TheVorticon for the offer to shop for us all. Im okay for food, and been able to get most of what I need there, or a suitable alternative. Only thing I havent been able to buy now in over 3 weeks is ... you guessed it ... toilet paper! So just grab me whatever you can get. Much appreciated. 😀

@Faith-and-Hope can you remind me what keys to use to bring up icons on windows program (microsoft laptop)? I think it was you told me some time ago and I didn't write it down or keep using it enough to remember. Thanks. Hope things are falling into place at least in your home xx

Re: Taking the plunge
It should be under Settings, and then Languages @eth.
House is coming together by degrees ..... had to get my head into it and uni shut-down this week helped. So did D3 and S2 holing up in the art space.
I am pulling apart the "rubbish tip" mountain of stuff that got dumped in my lounge room a few weeks ago ..... piece by piece.
It's deja vu. This has happened every couple of years across the life of my marriage .....
Marriage is gone, "rubbish tip" still here .... hopefully for the last time 🤬 .....

Hi @Faith-and-Hope You're on my mind often. Sending warmest wishes and knowing you will get through this and life will be so much better in the long run once he is really out of your life. But I totally understand that there is grief about such a huge change. You are doing an amazing job of role modelling for your baby dragons.
I thought there was something where you just use control and one other key to bring up an icon box. Maybe someone else knows about this @CheerBear @outlander @frog @Shaz51 @Maggie @Teej ...?? I'm pretty sure most of you post icons that aren't from the forum's limited range at times. Just asking how to do it with a keyboard shortcut.
