@TheVorticon No apologies ever needed. Listening eyes and not talking fingers is fine by me.

I hope your chicken and sweet corn soup was enjoyable last night, maybe enough for tonight??? I hope there is some good in today for you. 💙💙💙💙💙

Thinking of you @Former-Member . Sending a cup of tea your way. ❤️❤️❤️

Re: Taking the plunge

Morning @Maggie and everyone who might come by ❤

Thanks for listening to my whinges @Maggie.

How are you going this morning? Are you off to a meeting today?

It has been raining heavily here for hours. So nice to listen to. I can almost her3 the garden loving it 🙂

@TheVorticon 👋 very much with Maggie in agreeing that listening eyes and not talking fingers is very fine. It's good to see you however you are here. Chicken and sweetcorn soup was one of my favourite foods ever pre-vego days. Hope you enjoyed it!

Hope the day has started well for all

Morning @CheerBear . Meeting are only once a week now. Manageable maybe. 🤔🤔

I’m exhausted this morning @CheerBear . Fur baby has been trying to drag me out of bed since 2am. She succeeded at 3 am with a bark. That usually works, when all else fails.

It’s going to be slow here today.

Raining here also @CheerBear . It’s lovely. 🌧🌧🌧

How is today looking for you?

Re: Taking the plunge

Once a week sounds more manageable than every day, for sure @Maggie 👍🙂

Ugh furbaby- that does not sound fun. Is she awake and starting her day from ridiculous o'clock or does she settle back to sleep?

I'm really, really hoping for quiet today. I have to tidy up a bit but hopefully that's it for the day. Appt (online) with my counsellor this morning which usually feels good. Soccer tonight if it isn't raining too much.

What do you think or hope your slow day might have in it?

Re: Taking the plunge

She goes back to sleep once she has achieved her goal of getting me up @CheerBear . Normally I don’t mind, but this morning I just wanted to stay where I was, I knew I was tired yesterday, but today is ridiculous.

Listening is hard work. My friend is coping in a not coping kind of way. Holding it all together, but not really. It’s hard trying to help a very unwell son. Unfortunately, I get the feeling that because i’m Mentally unstable ( whatever that actually means), i’m Not very helpful. Oh to be strong and capable, ( sarcastic). Anyway, i’m Available to listen, if that’s at all valued by her.

I hope you get quiet today @CheerBear , you need some down time. Online counsellor is good timing perhaps.

I have no idea how today will happen.

I did get some good news. I don’t have to remove my screen door, or get the locks changed. 👍👍 I must admit I felt like a giant cactus when she arrived all defensive. It’s really hard when you feel the prickles at the door. Maybe a difficult tenant before me. Who knows.

Re: Taking the plunge

I was jumped on by a mini army of cats @Maggie. I feel like a full cat lady when they all come at me at once. Pretty sure if there's a heaven mine would be full of furballs 😁

Exhausted is hard 🙁 It is hard to stay present sometimes and very hard to watch people we care about struggle. You are an amazing friend Maggie. I wholeheartedly believe in the value of listening and of understanding (or trying to) from a place of experience. Your friend is lucky to have you in her life. I feel lucky to have you here with us.

So glad to hear you had some good news with the doors. I totally get the catcus feels. There's only so much we can take. I'll be doing a bit of damage control after getting my pickles in to pretty much everyone I crossed paths with yesterday :face_with_rolling_eyes:

Better do the lunch thing. Love the pic above 😆 So good!

Hope there's good in your day ❤

Re: Taking the plunge

Thanks @Maggie @CheerBear 🙂
I have plenty of leftover soup 😉 Enough for about 4 days so I'll have to decide if I want to freeze some.
Hope you're both having a good morning.
