Re: Taking the plunge

Oh yummo with your soup @Maggie ❤ I don't know many soup kind of recipes and am not very adventurous but maybe thats something to work on 🤔 It's the best in cold weather which is coming. Sorry you were so sore though. When the kitchen isn't exactly a place of joy I can imagine how much less joyful it would be to have it cause pain too.

I was super proud of Little and they were proud also ❤ There's hope in seeing things get through like that.

What are you up to after the meeting today?

Hoping for a quiet day today for sure. I have a series I'm really enjoying today and might get to the season final 🤞 Supermarket has to happen though and maybe soup 🙂

You might be heading off soon. If so, big go you today 🎉 I will be thinking of you and looking forward to hearing how it goes.

Re: Taking the plunge

I always come home unsure @CheerBear . They are lovely people, but fitting anywhere is ( my) problem. I feel a sense of achievement, if nothing else. Still pushing through.

I am meeting with a friend I meet twice a year later this morning. I see her Christmas Eve, and she has coffee with me, for my birthday. We catch up on family news. Her son is suffering with depression, so she is understanding my journey more these days. My heart goes out to both of them.

I get recipes off the net. I did see the cauliflower recipe on better homes and gardens, but they added cream . I have a tricky digestive system, so cream doesn’t work for me. But other recipes don’t need it. I love soup. Having some in the freezer makes for simple meal choices now and then.

Enjoy your series, if you make it there. 👍👍Supermarket and soup is a big ask when you are unwell.

Another beautiful day here. Autumn is definitely my favourite season. 🍁🍂🍁🍂

Re: Taking the plunge

Massive achievement @Maggie, and I'm so glad you feel a bit of it yourself. Big go you 😘

I remember you mentioning this friend before. Really nice to hear you have that today. So good to feel understood and be able to understand.

I'll hunt for soup recipes soon. Turns out Middle's "should be right" wrist is a "could be fractured" one so we are back at germ central clinic. Dr is putting a backslab cast on it this morning until a specialist can look at the x-rays. It's not a great week here.

I'm liking the weather today. Quite cool (not really cold though). Nice for quiet series watching when/if I get there.

Re: Taking the plunge

Gosh @CheerBear , what a week, and it’s only Wednesday.

Sorry middle might have a fracture, very painful and annoying. I had plaster and a broken arm a few years back, before I hit the pavement and got a broken nose. 😂

I really hope you get to your series sometime today.

I wish I could share my soup with you. There’s enough, that’s for sure. A whole pumpkin, and a whole cauliflower, plus leeks, garlic and ginger. I have a celery waiting to become something.

I had better get myself moving. 💜💜💜☕️☕️☕️🍁🍂🍁🍂

Re: Taking the plunge

That sounds so so good @Maggie. I'd love to try some. You inspired me to try and do something new instead of my go to chunky veg soup. I've only just arrived home from getting Middle's arm seen to and haven't been to the supermarket yet. I don't have it in me now and will go after school. I'm going to try hard to ignore the housework for the next couple of hours and watch my series instead. Or just sleep. Unbelievable how much this one has knocked me down.

Hope catch up is going well ❤

Re: Taking the plunge

@CheerBear Catch up went well. Watched some walks they have done, outback stuff. Beautiful scenery.

I hope you managed some rest this afternoon, and maybe watched your series??

You might be doing your grocery shopping atm. I hope you can do something simple for tea.

Yes, the bug is knocking the wind out of people. I hope you find some strength soon. In the meantime, it’s back to boarding rest.

I’m exhausted. I don’t do visits well. It’s good it doesn’t happen often.

Lots of these coming your way. ❤️💙💜🍁🍂💛💛

Re: Taking the plunge

I've been hoping it went well @Maggie. Can imagine exhausting. It's hard to socialise and entertain ❤

I'm feeling very at the end of my limit tonight. My day went belly up after going belly up after going belly up. So tired too.

Looking forward to catching you for a cuppa, maybe in the morning ❤

Oh but one thing went well - Asian noodle and dumpling soup, @Maggie inspired

👋

Re: Taking the plunge

Just popping my head in to mention that I've joined team homemade soup tonight as well (although not vegetarian) - chicken and sweetcorn.
Apologies for having listening eyes but not talking fingers. Hope you both get a good night's sleep tonight.

Re: Taking the plunge

Asian noodles and dumpling soup @CheerBear wow, I will look that up, sounds yummy. 👍👍👍

3 belly ups in one day is a rough day @CheerBear . It’s friday tomorrow. I’m guessing, in some ways, that’s good, in other ways, not so good. I’m sorry things are so tough. I’m sorry there is no one to step in while you are sick. There are huge gaps in support out there, huge gaps. I’m surprised it’s not obvious. But in my experience, people see what they want to. Oops, getting on a soap box there. 💙💙💙💙

Dropping off a morning ☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️ And hopes for a better day. 💛💛💛
