Re: Taking the plunge

I thought there was a BIG reason behind the cake @CheerBear . I can actually feel that sense of freedom you had back then. The one born fighting, strong and awesome sounds lovable in so many ways. The love with be twofold. ❤️❤️

My counsellor says something very very similar to what you are saying @CheerBear .” I can’t Change your past, or predict your future. But the time we spend together is hopefully, a moment of hope”. That spoke volumes. It’s real, honest and doable.

You are doing the same @CheerBear Making a difference, a huge difference. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

I still don’t honest know what happened on Monday. But any reasonable person would have responded with, “ oh sorry, I’m having a bad day, I didn’t mean to take it out on you”. Not a full on battle with guns blazing and aimed.

NPD don’t like to lose their prey. When charm isn’t working, (there wasn’t any of that on Monday) bullying and violence happens to hold through fear. I think that s it anyway. I can assure you the fear in me is alive and well. My insides are like jelly.

We will possibly drop off the account of what happened on Friday. My counsellor randvtwice yesterday. She’s a solid rock. She knows me. I have to trust that now.

Re: Taking the plunge

The cake is a bit of a thing, making one like that has been tradition and something I do for me as well as them @Maggie. I think and remember while I'm making them. This creature is so very loveable (as they all are). So challenging to parent at times and teaches me so, soooo much all the time, but I'm incredibly thankful to be their parent 😍 I so wish I could share actual photos to give a face to the stories. I burst with pride. Thank you for letting me share my crew here.

Your counsellor is absolutely awesome. I had goosebumps reading what she says. I feel very lucky to be in a position where I get to share and experience 'moments'.

A reasonable person would definitely not have done what they did 🙁 It would feel very yuck to think of yourself as the prey they've treated you as. If standing up leads to ehat happened, it's no wonder you're feeling the jelly feels inside. You have a little time to sit with it all (not always a great thing when contemplating is in full swing though 😏) between now and Friday. Feeling and being safe is so important and a rock will help with that.

Re: Taking the plunge

Sitting under a rock isn’t alway a hard place to be @CheerBear depends a lot on the circumstances. 😄😄😄

Your creature sounds adorable, I can feel it( them) through the screen . A burst of pride is such a wonderful feeling for a parent to have. You are an awesome mum. ❤️ Kids are amazing in what they teach us. I’m hoping to work ( again ) with kids at church. It’s a dream atm, but who knows.

So many ‘ what ifs’ going on inside my head. But it’s just one step at a time now. This person had a AVO taken out on them by a medical person last year. It was verbal back then, nothing physical. Nothing is being learnt. It’s always everyone else’s fault.

Re: Taking the plunge

Hi @Maggie I've been following here and am very sorry what happened to you. Just want to say I've been in what I think are similar circumstances and it's a good idea to write as detailed an account as you can while events are fresh in your mind. And maybe get a letter from a doctor about how the event/abuse has affected you (mentally, not just physically) to go with it. If an avo is applied for the first thing the cops will want is an affidavit with any evidence you can supply (hence a letter from your doctor). I hope you don't mind me jumping in here, but the sooner you report the event to the police the less likely the other party will be able to twist things in their favour.

Hearing you loud and clear about the fear factor. It's awful and you should feel safe to go about your everyday life, including out in the community. Hypervigilance and being unsafe in public places are things your doctor can mention.

I'm angry on your behalf that you are being victimised like this. Sending you all my strength to follow through on a legal front as soon as you are able to.

Hugs xx

Re: Taking the plunge

@eth Thanks so much for your post. Please don’t ever feel you are jumping in. You are always welcome to join in with your wisdom and experience.

I saw my dr yesterday and we talked about it. I didn’t think to get a letter, but I’m glad now I mentioned it, as I didn’t intend to. Too emotional about it all.

Sorry you have been through this. It’s awful. Really awful. Thanks again. 💙💙💙

Re: Taking the plunge

morning @CheerBear ❤
ah yeah slime 😬 youngest sister likes playing with that and for Christmas I brought her this slime kit but its set up like an icecream parlour with canisters and scoops that contain glitter of all sorts etc and she had her friend over and was playing with that. not sure if they or the slime had more glitter on it lol. but they were occupied for ages and was outside so not a huge mess to worry about thankfully!

morning @Maggie @Former-Member and everyone passing through ☕🧡🧡

Re: Taking the plunge

Hey @outlander. That slime kit sounds very cool! For the 25th a year ago mine were given 'slime kits' which were big tubs full of the things they need to make all kinds of slime. They haven't stopped playing with it since which is fun.

How's your day been so far?

@Maggie little step by little step ❤ Person's history might come back and get them. Shaking my head that people can behave so badly 🙁

How are you holding up? How's today looking for you?

Re: Taking the plunge

I haven't found anything like that in my area @CheerBear but might try to find something like that for easter. we aren't big chocolate eaters anyway so id rather get her something that I know she will play with. ive only found smaller slime kits and the one I just mentioned so may have to do some online hunting 😏
the days ok I guess, took kids to school and now just getting the washing done and watching cake wars. we are suppose to have up to 300mls of rain between Thursday and Tuesday so trying to get the things outside done but I haven't been well esp physically so things have been on hold and most still are. conflicted about what I should be doing in regards to my health and hoping I can wait till Monday to see my gp.

hows your day going?

Re: Taking the plunge

I put it together myself @outlander, mostly with stuff from eBay. If you'd like some help with a list of things I included (after a ridiculous amount of research!) sometime I'm happy to help. Not big on chocolate - 😮😆

Sorry to hear things are not good physically. Conflicted is tricky and I imagine tiring given how much of it you experience with your health 😏 Good idea to try and get some outside things done before it rains.

My day is going well thanks. Sleep is an issue for me at the moment (as usual really but this is a bit next level at the moment) so I'm a bit tired. I've been to the supermarket and have an easy dinner planned. One got to choose today as it's a special day and they picked mac and cheese with a side of mushrooms. Super random considering this one hasn't ever liked mushrooms and also thinks they have a dairy intolerance, but whatevs 😆 From here I have nothing I need to do until school pick up o'clock. I have a someone coming over for a couple of hours this morning and think we might just chill with a movie or something 🙂
