Re: Taking the plunge

Morning @Maggie and hi to all here 👋

Thanks for your thoughts @Maggie. And @Gazza75 Thanks for your lovely message yesterday ❤

I had a wonky day yesterday but gig went super. My supervisor took me aside for a chat and I was asked if I would like to do a small leader-ish kind of thing, which felt awesome 🙂 I am so glad I went in. Trying definitely counted 🙂

On the long drive back I took a call saying that the hearing with the landlord is next week and my head exploded with panic. It took a lot to settle it down throughout the day but I got it under control (enough). Big nerves and stress there though.

Then late last night he person got in touch and apologised. We had a long, deep, great chat. I think it's worth trying.

That's where I'm at this morning. How are you going? How was your yesterday?

Re: Taking the plunge

@CheerBear A big day yesterday. ❤️ The gig is your anchor atm, hang on to it. It sounds like your are valued. Awesome. 👍👍👍😍😍😍

I’m guessing/ hoping someone will be with you at the hearing??? It’s huge, I get that. It will be playing over and over in your mind. Do you see your psych this week? He might be able to help.

He person and worth trying, it’s all you can do. 💙💙💙

I’m taking fur baby for annual injections this morning. Tomorrow I have a drs appointment. Since the bushfires my mind has been everywhere , and I’m wondering about the paper article. Things fall into perspective, or out of it, not sure which it is yet though.

Re: Taking the plunge

I am supposed to have someone there to meet me at the hearing @Maggie but I won't have spoken with them before and don't know them at all and I'd be one of a gazillion cases they have that day. It's leap of faith stuff. If my support people weren't still on holidays I could try and find someone to come (as a couple said they would) but there's no-one 😏 With the kids being on school holidays I'll need my people to look after them too so I could be doing this on my own. Big scary. I'm trying not to think about it as panic kicks in. Psych at the end of next week 😑

Does furbaby go OK at the vet?

I get how perspective can happen especially with big, awful things like the fires. I had a guilty yucky feeling posting and spilling yesterday thinking that I don't have much to complain about really. While perspective can happen other things do still matter. You and your voice and your story still matter. Is the 'wondering' about writing it or sharing it (or something else)?

Re: Taking the plunge

The wondering is a bit like how you felt about posting yesterday @CheerBear what have I got to complain about stuff. It’s tough. I hate seeing people suffer and feeling helpless, it doesn’t feel right.

Gosh, that’s tricky about the hearing. I don’t want to go on about it and trigger you. Hearing how hard it all is there.

Psych at the end of the week is good. I see counsellor on Friday also. Good stuff.

Fur baby hates the vet, but it’s a quick visit, so not too uncomfortable. I get thingie to, we pick up each other’s vibes, good and bad. Lol. 🐶🐶🐶🐾🐾🐾

Re: Taking the plunge

It's super tough @Maggie 🙁 I hear you.

Great counsellor is back soon. That will be good to have her around again. I'm missing mine at the moment. She'd be super helpful with my he person tricky stuff. Hoping to organise something soon.

I hope it goes well with furbaby ❤ Is kind of friend taking you?

Hey @Former-Member. Sending you some ☕ (iced) and 💚

Re: Taking the plunge

I can walk to the vet @CheerBear . I would only ask kind of friend in an emergency, then maybe not.

When does your super helpful person get back?

A clear sky here today. It was Smokey yesterday. Going to be hot.

I did a super silly thing with my hose. Lol I had a brainwave that ended up being a brain fart. I measured it and had enough for the front and back. So I cut it. Hummm. Heading to Bunnings for a patch up job. It will work out....eventually. Thinking ahead was never a strength of mine, nothing changes it seems.

Morning @Maggie @CheerBear @Appleblossom @Zoe7 @Owlunar @Former-Member @outlander @Shaz51 and others 🙂

Just dropping in quickly to say Hi and wishing you all a smooth and pleasant day ahead. Trying to shake off the cobwebs this side. Had some troubles with the website earlier on, like I was on my mobile and I had no support buttons.

We had some nice rain last night, but, if anything seems like its more smokey. Thinking I might take a week or two off after things calm down and do a little bit of travelling along the coast to support some local communities. Maybe go inland on the way back up. One can dream about it.

Take care 🙂

Re: Taking the plunge

Thanks @Maggie @CheerBear 💕
I can see that you both have a lot happening over the coming week. Thinking of you often and hoping for best possible outcome with all thats coming up.

Hi @Gazza75 .. Hi to you too. Glad you got some worthwhile rain there overnight. Although I would suggest that the fireys may well not be happy. Small amounts of rain only limit their backburning operations and do nothing to put existing fires out. What they need is torrential rain ... that will put them out. But the rain in the non-fire areas will boost morale and thats a good thing.

I think its great that you are considering a holiday tour of the affected areas on the South Coast and Snowy areas. Certainly the local communities which are still intact will welcome visitors who use whatever services they still have operating. Be it pub or motel accommodation, local cafes and hotels for meals, or shoppers visiting local stores. They need it. I know a lot of the local seaside hamlets here on the mid-north coast have been badly affected from the fires we had here way back in November where many communities were decimated, and lives lost.

Tourists are slowly coming back, but its been hard. And with severe water shortages here too, its been hard on all businesses. Some local businesses have had to close. Although we are no longer in the news, due to the dreadful situation further south, we do still have many active fires still burning all around us here. And when conditions are bad with extreme heat and winds picking up, we get spot fires breaking out again. So that continues to be a deterent for tourists visiting and staying in the area. Plus of course there are so many road closures throughout the state that few people are wanting to travel.

So Gazza I think its a very noble gesture to want to travel south to support those communities once the immediate threat is over and when communities are back up and running. I'm sure the locals will appreciate it.

Hope your work day is okay. So nice seeing you around more regularly again.

Sherry
