Coffee, thank you @Maggie ❤ I'm OK enough thanks. Tired but OK 🙂

How's it going where you are? (If you feel like answering).

Will wander and catch up on notifications from yesterday while that coffee kicks in 🙂

Re: Taking the plunge

@Former-Member I’ve just read your post from last night. Gosh, sorry about the fires, internet, hubby and buddy. I was going to say, when it rains it pours, but it seems inappropriate on some levels. 😬😬

I really hope the fires are contained, or a weather change, preferably rain, was on the horizon.

Sending hugs for so much unneeded stress💕💕💕💕☕️☕️☕️. Hubby 🤬🤬🤬

Re: Taking the plunge

I’m not surprised you are tired @CheerBear 💜💜💜

I had two 86 yr olds painting yesterday pm. Both excited at the realisation they have talent. I was pleased I made tge effort.

Our fundraiser is on the first weekend of December, so I’m getting things ready now.

How are you going, apart from being tired, if you want to say. 😊😊😊

Re: Taking the plunge

That made me smile @Maggie. You have a gift in bringing people together and allowing them to discover something about themselves they didn't know 😊

Is it a crafty kind of fundraiser? I am doing one on that weekend also. A BBQ one not a creative one (unfortunately).

I did quite a bit yesterday (groceries, meal planning, car wash, mowing etc) so I feel a little less stressed heading in to today. I had to mow because the landlords now have my paperwork/notice and they live only streets away so I want to give them no extra reasons to be mad! They now have less than two weeks to respond (reimburse me) before I start the tribunal process 💪

Something kind of cool in all of this week is that Big is staying behind for treatment this time. With sibling here there will be someone overnight for them so they can. It means they'll make their way home from school and be on their own for a while on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon and will have to get themselves up and ready for school completely on their own on Wednesday. Growing up 🙂👍(Me letting go :face_with_rolling_eyes:😉🙂).

How's today looking for you?

Re: Taking the plunge

Thanks @CheerBear your comment made me smile. I’m determined to continue to teach once I leave here. One or two at a time, as I can’t multitask😩😩😩

Yes, the fundraiser is my stones etc. I’m nervous as, excited also. I had thought of a bbq, but this idea came and we are trying it. Hard putting yourself out there. I’ve never sold anything I’ve made, always given them away, That was scary enough. 🤪🤪🤪

Wow your yesterday was packed. I do understand the, ‘not giving the owner any ammunition’. 💪💪💪

Big growing up 👍👍👍 letting go must be sooooo hard though. 💕💕💕

Re: Taking the plunge

So glad to hear you're determined to continue teaching @Maggie. It brings so much to so many. I see what you've brought to here across the Strait (it's on many walls at house 2 and in a number of places here at our home ❤) and imagine what it's like to be there in person. So fab 😊 Also imagine what it's like to sell something you've made. I haven't done that before either and it seems scary to me too. I would definitely buy your stones if I could and have a feeling I'm not alone there. Looking forward to hearing how it goes 😊

Letting go (which is more like loosening the reins for me 😉) has some tricky but it's also kind of exciting. I'm very lucky with Big being as responsible and sensible as they are, which makes it easier. I most definitely was not at this age, or not far off this age. I'm enjoying them being a bit older and I don't miss them being little little as much as I thought I might.

I better fly. Kicking off the day with Middle's psych appointment early. They're looking forward to it which is good for them.

Hope the morning has some good in it for you ❤ and all 💜💙💚💛🧡❤☕

Re: Taking the plunge

@CheerBear All the best with middles appointment. Really good they are looking forward to it.

Loosening the reigns being tricky and exciting is understandable. Sounds like you have done a might job of parenting so far @CheerBear , I don’t think responsible and sensible just happen. I hope you can take some credit in it. 💕💕💕

I’m heading into my day now, giving the grass police a break. 👮‍♂️👮‍♂️😁😁😁

Leaving these for anyone who would like 💜💜💜💜💜☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️

Re: Taking the plunge

Hi and good morning @Former-Member @Maggie @Molliex @CheerBear @outlander and anyone else here today. Hope it's a peaceful one with things going according to plan.

Feel for you @Former-Member hubby's behaviour is well out of order. Unfair for you to have to deal with that at the same time as the fire situation. Wish I could offer a solution. I tend to agree that getting together your important papers etc and going somewhere nice and safe until your area is no longer at risk seems like a good idea. Have just spoken to my uncle who lives at Halliday's Point and things are even worse there than it was 2 weeks ago. He has gone south for the duration. As he said, life and limb are more important than anything else. You really don't deserve to have to manage 2 drunks if it comes to saving your property. Hoping you do have insurance, but either way your safety is the most important factor. Take good care friend. Thinking of you.

Re: Taking the plunge

Thinking of you and family @eth and everyone affected by the fires.

We also have family in that area 🙏

Last I checked while safe they were unable to get in or out.
