Re: Taking the plunge

Hi @Former-Member and @Maggie , @CheerBear @outlander @Appleblossom Hope today is kind to you all.

Sherry not the first time I've wondered if we're in the same area. We really need some rain here too and in the last week there've been big fires north and south of us. Forcast today was for thunderstorms but it looks nothing like it this morning. Also really hoping for no lightning and not too much wind, but if it really does turn into thunderstorms there's not much hope of that.

Re: Taking the plunge

Thanks @eth ... and the same to you. 👍😊

No rain here yet, just a hot blustery wind so far. Hoping it will build into storms later ... wet rather than electrical. 🤞 And yeah hopefully not too windy either. We had two massive wind storms in the past 10 months ... one the week before Christmas last year had us without power for 5 days, when all the power poles nearby got knocked out. Then again in Feb this year we had another really bad windstorm which caused havoc here and in our nearby local town as well. Its somewhat reassuring that anything that didnt get blown down or away during those two storms, are likely pretty stable. And therefore likely to go the distance the next time there's a big windstorm. We lost so many trees and branches during both those storms.

Ha ha ... nice thought that one of my forum friends may be a 'local'. 💜 The Mid North Coast is a beautiful area, and encompasses quite a large area within Eastern NSW. Plus there are something like 70 odd fires in NSW alone right now, or last I heard anyway. So I dont think I'm giving too much away as far as specific location, by saying whats already been said. But I will think of you in future as 'my possible neighbour'. 💕

Re: Taking the plunge

I'm a little south of you I think @Former-Member - I'm somewhere in the Hunter Region. No sign of a change in the hot, dry weather yet. Just looked it up on my phone and it's meant to be storming by 2-3pm.

Helllllloooo @Maggie @Former-Member @CheerBear @eth @outlander

I hope the weather has done its things as needed. I have driven on the freeway with lots of rain and the wipers jiggling away. 2nd day of cool where I live.

I am in a much better frame of mind. Saw a wonderful concert fundraiser and a performer I deeply admire. Worked hard in the garden through the day, quickly cooked food, showered, did dishes and flew out the door.

Not crafty atm. but I am pleased I tackled 2 garden jobs I had been putting off for a year, just not sure what to do. Now I have 5 large cuttings from a main plant that had fallen over and was starting to sprout at unusual angles, I have reseated the original plant and hope they all survive my trimming etc ...

Had struggled with a lot of uncertainty and a kind of stunned bunny in the headlights paralysis for the last week. Yesterday it started to shift as I started sorting and filling shelves that had been cleared in my sons move out. Things falling into place. Going to visit him tomorrow.

So glad things are falling into place for you @Appleblossom . Sounds like you've been hard at it and accomplishing plenty.

Re: Taking the plunge

@Appleblossom I got a good feel reading that things are falling into place for you. It’s been a long hard trot. Gardening, quick food, shower, dishes and out the door to a wonderful concert, sounds good. 👍👍👍

Having extra space for YOUR things will be feeling kinda nice I reckon.

Nice one Apple, you deserve a break. 💜💜🌹🌹🌹🥀🥀

@CheerBear I’m thinking of you first thing this morning, knowing today is the BIG meeting. 11.30 today we will all be standing with you in solid support.

I hope you got some sleep, but guess, if you did, it might not be much.💕💕💕

Dropping off an early ☕️☕️☕️☕️ No need to respond, take time for what is best for you.

Re: Taking the plunge

I was off hunting for coffee (and tea for @Former-Member and other non-coffee people) to bring here this morning @Maggie. Made me smile to see you just a moment before I went to post 🙂

How are you going this morning? And how was your yesterday? Did you sit with your cross stitch?

Re: Taking the plunge

The early hour explains so much @CheerBear 💜💜

Yes, Cross stitched in the morning, and had my new painting lady in the afternoon. She was nervous, so was I, but she did very well. Another lady talked of joining also, but I can’t stretch that far atm.

I picked up some packing boxes @CheerBear 😁😁😁 A flicker of hope.
