Re: Taking the plunge

So glad I went back to sleep too @Maggie. I got up after the fright of hearing him at the door, to catch up and see how his weekend has been, but was able to wind down again. I was thinking of hitting a prn but didn't need to in the end.

Cross stitch sounds really good ❤ and I get how needed familiar, organised, colour etc can be. Did painting with company happen?

I'm going well thanks. I had a night on my own (except for sibling later) as I came home later yesterday afternoon. Unwell person isn't doing well at all and there was a medication that could help but nowhere close to them. I went for a drive to get it then stayed here and will head back this morning, medication in hand. Had a good time out on my own last night 🙂 Noodles, cats, Netflix I wanted in the lounge room.

How's today looking for you? Will you work on some more Cross stitch?

Re: Taking the plunge

@CheerBear Sorry about unwell person. It’s a roller coaster ride, in more ways than one for you. 💕💕 Hopefully medication helps.

A good time for yourself last night would be appreciated I’m sure. 😻😻I can imagine the fright hearing them at such an ungodly hr. 😩😩

Yes painting with company happened. We did a lovely mandala on a stone using her colours. Unfortunately she had put a glitter paint on the undercoat, that has caused the dots to crack. Of course I like the look, but it’s not for her. So double dotting and triple dotting today. Also my new lady starting.

Yes, cross stitch this morning.

Rain here yesterday and nice and cool. Much the same today I think.

Re: Taking the plunge

Well done on getting out of the door to do that @Maggie. I'm guessing cross stitch was a nice time out and escape for you with the company in your day. Frustrating to have cracked dots that you like but that they don't.

Lots of rain here yesterday and I'm guessing that was the same for you. We had lightning strike really close once yesterday. All of a sudden the big flash happened then we lost power for a few moments while the house rumbling with the thunder. Dog and kids went bananas at it! It was forecast to be quite unstable weather but really it just rained a lot. Good for the grass as it was already drying up 😊

Re: Taking the plunge

@CheerBear I don’t like to let her down. She’s just found her creativity at 86, something I deeply admire. She’s a kind caring soul, always giving where she can. I like to think it’s something giving back to her. I’m not into karma at all, just like to share something I’ve found helpful and others might also. Plus I need to connect with real life humanity sometimes, even if it’s costly emotionally. 🥺🥺🥺

Wow, a great storm. I love storms, and fur baby doesn’t blink an eye, so I can enjoy the show, and I do. But it’s hard when animals freak out. You can’t explain it to them. Hope they settled eventually.

Will you sit with your hook today? 🧶🧶🧶

Topup ☕️☕️☕️

Re: Taking the plunge

I'm sure you're giving something back to her @Maggie ❤ I get the need to connect even if it costs. It's a pickle being wired to connect socially yet having history of social connections being incredibly painful and damaging. Yay human-ness 😑

Big fan of storms too, though I can be a bit of a chicken in them if they're too close!

I will probably have a hook in my hand at some stage. I have this dragon blanket to get finished by 25/12 and it's taking a bit of time. I'm probably about 1/4 to 1/3 through it so I'm getting there slowly. I'll tidy up around here soon, ready for meeting tomorrow morning, then head back to house 2 where there's lots of arty crafty going on often.

I mentioned a little while ago that we thought unwell person's dots were a way of them passing something special down. Yesterday I was asked to pick a fave and they put my name on the back of it. They've apparently done it/are planning on doing that for everyone. Sad feels but special ones ❤ They've been busy hanging their art around the house which is seriously awesome as them and art has never, ever been a thing. Very cool (I think of you all the time when I see them covered in paint and dots, taking up the whole dining room table with their art) 🙂

I did lol with Yey human-ness 😐 @CheerBear

What time is your meeting tomorrow @CheerBear . I/we will be sending positive vibes. You’ve got this. 💪💪 A walk on the grass. 😏😏

I get the sad feels, but special ones. Life is tough, no argument from me there.

The blanket sounds lovely. I haven’t been back to crochet lately, something more familiar atm. A good feeling. I need to finish this. Very very slow going though. The big disadvantage of cross stitch.

Re: Taking the plunge

Meeting at 11:30 @Maggie. I feel sick thinking about it 🙁

Cross stitch sounds very slow. So slow for me it's taken 18 months for me to not finish a tiny little one I started 😆 Half tempted to pull that out too as it was kind of a fun one and it would be good to have one completed cross stitch one day, even if I never pick it up again! Would love to see yours if you feel like sharing it. No pressure though ❤ (I haven't wandered around craft corner for a while, but will get to that soon too).

I better fly. Super nice to catch you this morning, thanks for the company. I hope there's some good in your day.

Dropping off a bucket of ❤ for all who might call by here too

👋

Re: Taking the plunge

Good morning @Maggie @CheerBear 👋 and others once they're up and about @eth @outlander @Appleblossom etc

Breakfast this morning @Maggie will be a cooked Sunday brekky ... Eggs, bacon, tomato and mushrooms. Plus toast, and a big pot of tea!

Yep the diamond painting is progressing pretty well. Had a good go at it yesterday. Hubby seemed to be in bed half the day, so it gave me some quiet time.

@CheerBear ... how lovely that your unwell person has discovered the pleasures of art, and also that they have something they can create themselves and provide a very unique and personal gift to all of you. You must feel very proud and satisfied that you have given them the chance to do this, by introducing them to this form of art. 👍

I dont know what today will bring for me ... nothing much planned, but each day is like the proverbial 'box of chocolates'. One thing we all need around here is rain ... hoping some of that may arrive via thunderstorms predicted later today. And hopefully without any lightning strikes to start more fires.

Other than that, I have had our little doggie guest staying since Friday morning. Charlie has his 'parents' coming home late this arvo, so Holly will lose her little playmate then. He's been a good boy, but a bit tiring for Holly. He's much younger than her, so can be a bit exhausting for her I think. They are so funny, the pair of them, always competing for extra attention. Both wanting a lap where there is really only room for one. I've decided that Holly is passively assertive. Never nasty or aggressive, but almost always gently gets her way. And a sneaky clever little girl too. For example when it comes to feeding time, they each have their own bowl. Charlie is a bit slower than Holly to eat, so Holly gulps hers down and then quietly and (seemingly) respectfully sits and watches while Charlie finishes his. Then she will create a commotion, and run off barking at the front door. Charlie rushes off to see whats going on, and meanwhile Holly's woofing into Charlie's unfinished dinner. Little devil. Much the same happens when they are competing for my lap to rest on. Charlie is kinda pushy. But Holly will sit back and watch, then I will see her go and bring in one of her 'fetch' toys and 'invite' Charlie to play by prancing around and playacting. Charlie takes the bait and Holly abandons the idea of play and is straight onto my lap, which is what she wanted all along. They have provided many such humerous moments the past few days.

Well, I hope your days are good ones. Big day for you tomorrow CB ... I hope it goes as well as it possibly could. And Maggie ... really hanging out for word of new accommodation ... something which could happen at any time now. Hopefully very soon.

Okay, breakfast preparations for me now, before I go and wake up hubby for second round of meds for the morning.

Sherry 💕

Re: Taking the plunge

@Former-Member I can smell The bacon cooking. Yummy looking breakfast you have there.

Yes, my little girl has all the same little antics when I look after puppy too. I end up with both on my lap at once, squishy, but fun. 🐶🐶

I hope you get some rain up there, the fires look bad so early this year.

Good luck with DP today. Looking forward to a pic when/if you would like to share.

Heading to the shower and tree, and grass. 😁😁😁
