Re: Taking the plunge

yes am very weary.....

struggling today...

OS sending me text messages...painful to read...

I tried responding but I can't get a signal....both messages were undelivered....

I talk about him on the carers forum....I have my own thread...oh goodness....just read that back...sounds like "I have my own private jet"...have to laugh...

@Former-Member

not surgery at this stage...follow up with heart....trying to have a CTCA scan ...

I have private health cover....the funds pay nothing towards these scans which cost about $800-$1000

if I go through the private hospital...no cost through public hospital...I am now retired...not yet receiving any pension

as a result of non payment by private health funds...everyone uses public hospital naturally...currently there is a waiting list of 800 people...I might be lucky to get it done in december...no guarantee...

if this shows nothing I then have to have an angiogram...process of elimination really...

Re: Taking the plunge

Nightmares are disturbing @Former-Member - I have suffered them every night for a year now and they are not relenting. Not sure why, could be the acute stress over the years. Hopefully they will settle soon. I hope you have a dreamless sleep tonight and a peaceful one. I would give anything for that. I have a better chance of having peace in the day.

Sorry to read of your son's distressing text messages @Former-Member. Its such a difficult situation. I asked about your surgery/fund etc - are you having problems/symptoms with your heart? This must be a worry for you also.

That is rude @Maggie that the dog owner didn't let you know. Is that the visitor? I would mention it. My daughter use to take me for granted like that - not so much anymore (finger crossed).

It will be a peaceful weekend but I am feeling still a lot of lethargy and unwell. So I have decided to go on a detox diet and exercise programme to give my immune system and liver a boost. It has worked before so fingers crossed. It's not easy to stick to - there is no dairy, wheat, yeast, sugar, fat, alcohol, caffeine or any take away food. Just mainly fruit, veges and plain lean meat. So I am afraid the coffee is out lol, but I will have a green tea (although that may have caffeine?, not sure, but I have chamomile as well - it could put me to sleep though and then I wouldn't be much company then 😉😄.

I have to cook and make everything fresh, and for someone who loathes cooking it's self sacrifice. But I should feel better for it. I can't keep going on the way I feel. If that doesn't work after 2 months - it's off to the doctors. Always last resort for me. Wish me luck.

Good to read that you are having a relaxing afternoon cross stitching and listening to music 🎶Sounds delightful. I have been doing a lot of stitching hoping to finish the project I am doing so I can start my mermaid. I will have to get a photo of the kit and fabric and put it up on here.

My daughter unintentionally has been stressing me abit again. She hasn't the money to renew her license or fix her brakes so I am loaning it to her which I don't like to do, as she will never manage her money properly if I keep doing it. I hope she will pay it back. She has taken on a second job though which is good. The arrangement with her living away from home works well, and although it sounds awful, I am afraid she will become broke and end up back here. I just can't take anymore stress on top of my husband's ill health. I should not worry though as that just makes matters worse.

I went for a walk along the beach where we are building our new home. They still have not started yet and we are getting concerned as to why not. So, I still have my struggles here....one day at a time. I have added some photos of it below.

Your day sounds like the one I had yesterday, cross stitching, going for a leisure walk, watching some TV, just chilling in the peace.....it was magic. I wish days like that would never end don't you? Sending a warm hug to you 🤗 xx

Re: Taking the plunge

I'm in need of a cuppa now @Maggie 💟☕🍰
Sorry I wasn't around earlier.
Went shopping for last minute formal things. Came home with streamers 😂 for the car on last day of school.
Have to go shopping again tomorrow 😮😣
Different shops, still looking for dress etc. Not easy shopping, hobbling with sore toe still .
Yes, nightmares are draining.

That was very disappointing that friend didn't ring re change of plans.
I hope you ended up having an ok day.
Lack of energy etc is hard to live with.

I hope you're heart is ok @Former-Member 😮💜
Have you been having problems?
Did you have a good rest today?
Sorry to hear re your OS msgs, very upsetting for you.
No good re private health fund.
We're waiting for D to have operation.
$8000 if we went private (no private health cover haven't needed it in the past)
Bit of a wait, but it's not life threatening.
I'd better get that cuppa.
D and I had a nice lunch out.

Lovely photos @Former-Member 💗
Sorry you have nightmares too.
Mine used to happen often, less now, but very disturbing. Like it's really happening.
Good on you for detox. I don't enjoy cooking either.
There's so much I'm unable to eat, so it's tricky
I love spicey etc not good for tummy.
I feel so unhealthy lately. Haven't been able to exercise since I damaged my toe.
Catch you all later.

Re: Taking the plunge

@Former-Member Shopping with a sore toe must be so very painful, do you take something for the pain. Elevating it when you can might help just a little. I hope you had that coffee yesterday, I did and went to bed, I'm so tired. Still no dress for you @Former-Member. Reminds me of years ago a lady and I went shopping for a dress for her on her daughters wedding. It's was painful just being there catching the dresses as she tried yet another. I hope you find one soon. Looks like you are back out again today. Good luck. I really hope you find the right one. Have lunch out then no cooking later!!!!!!

@Former-Member Your heart condition sounds worrying. I had no idea private health cover worked like that. It seems like cheating to me. If you are sick and need treatment it should be available. I know our health system is broken, we are told tassie is the worst in the country, but who do you believe? Messages from OS must be disturbing, not knowing what's really going on, where he is etc. I wish you could talk with the lady I know, you have so much in common, but it's a wish not reality. I haven't looked at careers area on the might have a look later today.

@Former-Member Pics are so beautiful, what a lovely place to walk. A detox diet, I have heard of them but never actually done one. I do have detox pads you stick on your feet at night. They are supposed to drain the nasties overnight. Only done it once so far, but by the colour of the pads the next day, there is work needed. I actually eat vegan with a few exceptions like chocolate and cows milk for coffee only. Tried all other milks and more like water than milk.

Yes it was the visitor and I am annoyed. Hoping to say no next time, but will I????

Still D challenges. Life can be very difficult. People don't understand we have our own issues to deal with, and there stress adds to our own. My new meds are giving me two hrs sleep at night, but no more. At least it's something. Regarding depression, no change. Frustrating.

I do enjoy music and cross stitch, both gentle, with no pressure. Are you doing the garden cross stitch atm. Would love a pic if you are up to it, and mermaid.

Looks like a busy week ahead for all of us, I have two medical apps. Anyway, sending you all warm wishes, and they are warm, 25 here today, I will have to water the garden.😀😀😀😀🙃🙃🙃🙃

Re: Taking the plunge

Not much sleep here either @Maggie
Need another coffee ☕
Still in bed, wondering whether to go to bigger shopping centre in city 😮
Not sure I'm ready for that.
Will definitely have lunch out again. 😊
I understand the depression that won't lift. It's so hard to function @Maggie I know.
I wish I could mention the sleep med I take in emergencies. I don't feek tired the next day. But I can only take it for short periods, maybe a month. I took it for months a little while ago and went down hill, worse depression etc. But great short term. I found out about it by accident saw a different doctor. Other sleep meds make me feel terrible.
I don't know why other doctors have never mentioned this good sleep med to me. Next time you're at doc maybe ask which one doesn't cause drowsiness next day. It starts with I.
I've heard of a med for epilepsy that gas heloed people with PTSD depression anxietyI'm desperate enough to try it.

I had better get moving.

Hi @Former-Member @Former-Member and all 💜
Have a good day, I hope 💕👍
