Yiiiiiikkkksss!!!!! Just had a blue tongued lizard in my lounge room!!!!! He's been gardening with me before but never this close. After a few yells and hours I decided to look behind the curtain...there he was all rolled up. I grabbed him, are lizards supposed to feel cold..and he's outside in the sun now.. My girl didn't assist at all. Country life!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Funny that your girl didn't assist though! Not much would stand a chance here with a Mouse cat in our house.

Haha @Maggie sounds like you have a new pet. Bluey has taken a shine to you. How would you be waking up to bluey snuggled up with you? Turn abit blue me thinks 😱 Hee, I am a scally wag.
Myself and hubby went out one evening when living on the farm and on returning came inside followed by a bat! It started fluttering all over around the house! I also went a shade of blue - and a bit batty! I tore down the hallway and locked myself in the bedroom shutting the door in hubby's face. Let me in He screamed! NOooo I replied, get that bat before he gives me rabies!!! So armed with a towel and having no choice hubby is chasing away at it trying to wrap it up securely to put it back outside. After a bit of banging, screaming and hollering he finally caught it and got it out. Their bites are deadly lol. No way I was going to risk catching it, just like fur babie was not having a bar of it, nope....big mummy can deal with it she thinks haha, we aren't silly lol......I could really write a book of our adventures on the farm.
I wonder if Bluey will come out to greet you in the garden again. If he does don't run away from him otherwise he may feel rejected and get the blues (oh dear, yes that was lame 😂😂🙃🙃).
Hello @Faith-and-Hope - hope your weekend was good 😊

Oh @Former-Member your farm adventures made me smile. Yes big mama was left to beal with bluey, I'm not sure weather baby saw him or not, she got bug eyed when I screamed. At first sight I thought it was a snake, I was releaved to see feet and recognised the little man. Looks like snail for dinner. I remember a Huge, huge, huge spider once in our car. I smartly got out and said unless I see a body, I walk. Ex grumbled and moaned but I didn't budge, I got a body. Lol. This sounds like a good start to the writing thread @Former-Member how are you going there?? I rang visitor yesterday, sadly they have lost their pet cockatiel. He flew out. I did the same with mine years ago. You just never know where they are and in a second, away they go. We are all hoping someone will catch him and hand him back. Yesterday was hot here, I'm hoping he found water at least. So sad to lose a pet in any way. I hope you are doing ok. 🙃🙃🙃

Re: Taking the plunge
Hi @Maggie - I am going pretty well. I am with you on the spider case 😉 I had a friend whom was driving along once (on police duty) when a huntsman came from under the car visor and looked him square in the face. He immediately went into automatic pilot mode from the second their eyes locked 👀 😳 Lol. Arms outstretched stiffly, face so frozen with shades of pale and with the car driving itself, one might of though riga mortise set in hahaha. Pure terror.
He gradually pulled over slowly thinking to himself as he eyed off this arachnoid (as he related the story), "its fine, its fine, it's only a huntsman and they don't bite - he kept repeating to keep himself composed 🤤. Well, as they say, reality does bite ya on the ass sometimes 😮 - as the spider decided "to take the plunge" aha and jumped off the visor and bit him 😵😱😫. To which he yelpt throwing his hands and feet around in a mad frenzy (what a sight for passerbys hahaha - I mean who checks on a police officer haha). So they left him to his hollering and thrashing about haha. I must say it is unusual for a huntsman to bite. Once the hysteria wore off my friend did get himself eventually to the hospital looking a little blue around the gills 😨😫. I
So yes, I would want to see the bodily evidence also aha.
Sorry your visitor lost her cocky. My daughter (and me ) are both upset about her cat that has gone missing for three days now. But I still hold onto the hope she will come back home - she is like a child to my poor daughter. I hope they find your friends cocky too. Did you bump into Bluey today? Sending warm thoughts your way xxxx
@Former-Member - hope you feel better soon.
A warm hello to @Faith-and-Hope@CheerBear@Former-Member@Former-Memberxxx ❤️💜❤️💜❤️
