Re: Taking the plunge
Wow @Maggie - how exciting with your songs being recorded! 😁 They will uplifted all who hear them, what an achievement my friend. You must feel excited about this. Well done.
My brother is not coming over now as rain is predicted and is does not like travelling in it so perhaps next weekend he will visit. I had a lovely peaceful day - my husband was managing the shop but I stayed home and did a lot of cross stitching, took a walk through our bush reserve and park - and just felt so peaceful. I also watched a series on Netflix's called Bates Hotel (based on the movie psycho). It's really good!. So I had a me day" and feel totally relaxed. I think I needed it and it's helping me to heal after the nightmare of the last 14 years. Hopefully a tide is really turning and it's giving me a chance to find some peace and happiness again after years of so much turmoil, grief and pain.
It was good how our charity and hubby got a mention in parliament. Thank you all for your kind words on this. This mention will enable us to help expand our charity even further to those in need. Myself and hubby are going to a conference next Tuesdsy to meet with other authorities such as the Environment protection, and various other groups, to talk about ways of reducing food waste from tips by distributing good food to different charities like ours. We have been asked to apply for a grant to assist with this - so good things are happening in the community to help those in need and make life easier. Positive news instead of all the bad disasters we see on the news everyday.
A lot people who buy food in our charity shop tells us that because of the money they save this way they are able to pay the rent preventing homelessness for them. They makes us feel good. But there is still many who are homeless that we also help.
@Former-Member - good to read your blood tests results where good and all went well at your psych appt. What type of surgery are you on the waiting list for? Isn't it ridiculous (and greedy) that you are in private health insurance but it won't adequately cover costs. They seem to be a real money rort. Hope you don't have to wait too much longer.
@Former-Member - hope you are feeling a bit better now and all goes well for your daughter at her formal. Should be a special night for her helping to forget her recent health shock.
@Faith-and-Hope - lovely what you said about finding moments in the day to feel joyful and grateful of the good things even in the midst of adversity. Lovely how you are so close to your children. I am growing close to my daughter now too which means a lot to me.
My heart goes out to @Former-Member at this difficult time for her - please know you have friends here you can rely on lovely lady.
Well I hope some of that made sense. I am literally falling asleep on the keyboard but wanted to say a warm hello to my forum family. @Maggie@Former-Member@Former-Member@Faith-and-Hope@Former-Member - what are all your plans for the weekend? Sweet dreams my friends xxx 💕💕

Re: Taking the plunge
@Former-Member Sorry about the bad dreams, they leave you drained don't they. Have you got a busy day planned??
I'm waiting for visitor to arrive, I'm looking after her fur baby so she and her sister can spend the night in their shack. Dogs aren't allowed as its part of wildlife sanctuary. She's a sweet girl, the dog, so no stress. I'm going so slowly, can't manage to get myself going at all these days.
We are heading for 24 a hot one for tassie, so won't be in the garden till sundown.
Take care @Former-Member thinking of you. 🙃🙃🙃🙃

Re: Taking the plunge
@Former-Member Sounds like a relaxing weekend then, time to recharge. I don't have to look after visitors baby now, they decided not to go. I waited til 2pm and rang as I hadn't heard from them, rude people, they could have let me know earlier. Not that I had plans, just courtesy really. Oh well!!! I have been listening to music and cross stitching, a nice relaxing afternoon. I think I'll have a coffee, care to join me????? Recharge all you can. 🙃🙃🙃🙃
