Thanks @Zoe7, going to see if I can get a long weekend. Feel like I could do with it. Fingers crossed. 😊♥️

Morning everyone. I come with coffee☕🙂👋

Wondering how you're going @Maggie and how yesterday was for you. No pressure to reply but wanted to say hi as I make my way to the kettle 💛

Re: Taking the plunge

@CheerBear Thanks. A bit late picking up the cuppa, but right now it’s going down well. Waiting for the flat inspection. 😩😩 Last time he didn’t even let me know he wouldn’t check, looks like it’s a repeat. Just gets annoying getting a notice, preparing, and nothing happening.

Yesterday was ok ish. I think I have two more students lined up. 😁😁 I’m happy to pass on the little I know about dotting, I can only manage one at a time though. I don’t do multitasking, my mind is single minded.

How was your day?

Re: Taking the plunge

Ugh to the inspection @Maggie. That's so annoying. I hope it's over with soon.

Yay for two more students and for being able to share the dotting feels around some more. I found out that now my unwell person has also had a go! He's someone who has never been crafty or arty at all but he decided to have a go after watching how much we've enjoyed it. More of that good has spread all the way from your part of the world to ours 😊❤

My yesterday was also OK thanks. House tidy enough and my hooks and yarn are out again 😁 It feels great. I have Little home with me as they came down sick last night so a quiet, warm day here today. Sooooo cold outside!

Re: Taking the plunge

@CheerBear It looks like a repeat of the last inspection. Given a notice, date and time, but no show. I don’t mind not having someone look through, it’s just waiting, preparing with no communication. Typical of the place, so inconsiderate. 😖😖

Wow, how good is that, the dotting spread. My lady has never been arty/crafty either. I’m not sure what it is about dotting, maybe the simplicity of it.

Ive done some cross stitch this morning. I want to get these two finished. I have a drs app tomorrow, have to get some pain relief. Not waiting for specialist, just taking what she has. She’s reluctant to start one meds because of side affects, but it’s beyond me now, I’ll take any relief offered or not. I’ve done some research, so a little prepared.

Sorry little is unwell. Freezing here too, back to winter. Apart from Queensland that is.

Re: Taking the plunge

It's very cool to see the dots spread @Maggie ❤ I wonder if part of the appeal is in the way the tools do the paint. I know for me my hands don't like creating on their own (drawing, painting etc) 🤔 Either way it's so good to be part of.

That's so inconsiderate and seriously annoying with the inspection :face_with_rolling_eyes:

Nice to think of you cross stitching, though I can imagine it's not easy with the pain. Sorry you're in so much pain. 🤞you get what you need out of the appointment tomorrow and that it helps.

I'm really hoping Little is better asap. I'd miss my gig tomorrow if they're not well and unwell person's chemo is Wednesday which will add some tricky to helping with that. Random scary moment today - I caught an iPad charger sparking right near Little's hand while they were cuddled under blankets in my bed. The cable had started melting and had turned brown near where it was sparking so I'm thinking it was not far off catching fire. So glad I caught it. Little's bug would have been the last of our worries if I hadn't I think!

I'm going to head out for a bit and keep stitching. I've gone back to dragon making 😁

Re: Taking the plunge

Oh @CheerBear glad you noticed the cable thing, could have been serious.😕😕

Hope little improves, your gig is important, and the unwell person......lots of stress.

Dragon making sounds like fun. 😁😍👍 Enjoy. Heading out shortly to walk fur babies and pic up a book from the library. ☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️💕💜💕

Re: Taking the plunge

Morning @Maggie and everyone here 💛

Not sure about Little or the gig today Maggie, and it's stressing me out a bit. They're not hugely unwell but not totally well and I don't know if they'll go OK at school. Depending on what I would be doing at my gig I could be a while away if I got a call to pick them up, but if they're well enough to be at school I really don't want to not go in. :face_with_rolling_eyes: Decisions. Annoying ones to make on my own. Adding in the big day tomorrow and more time off for the kids so we can do it, and I'm feeling stuck and stressed right now.

Sorry for the vent. Thanks for the coffee though.

I'm going to get the others up and going and 🤞 Little wakes magically better. Did the inspection happen yesterday in the end? Hope your yesterday was OK, your morning has started well enough and your appointment today is helpful.
