It would be nice to get together with everyone here 🙂
Your daughter might have more appreciation for you in the long run Mumi.
I know I never really appreciated everything my parents did for Me, especially my mum.
I would keep trying with her even if you feel dumped and down about how she has treated you.
I should of been more catious with my 'friend', but, can't undo that mistake now.
Maybe you can take a walk in the afternoon or mornings if you are comfortable in doing that. It doesn't feel like it takes long to cycle between the seasons any more. One week we're in winter, the next it's almost like summer.
Hard to believe how quickly this year has gone, I had to put in requests for my xmas leave this week. We are 'forced' to take a few days of leave over Xmas which kind of rubs me the wrong way. I've put in for a few extra days in the new year so I will hopefully at least get a full week off. I'm not really looking forward to it, last y ear was super akward and uncomfortable, probably worse this time around as well.
What do you normally do for Xmas if you don't mind me asking? hopefully you don't get any cyclones or extreme weather 🙂 I like how you pushed through for your daughter, I think 9 out of 10 people would have pulled the pin on that party.

Re: Taking the plunge
My one talent. Putting on parties for my daughter.
Christmas is an extremely bad time for me. I can’t have contact with family. Plus my dad passed away around Christmas.
Its probably the worst time ever. Have to laugh. Because it’s too hard not to

Re: Taking the plunge
@Former-Member, I'm sure you have lots of other talents also. 🙂 ![]()
I miss going to parties. I can't even remember the last one I went to.
I'm sorry Christmas is such a bad time for you. I shouldn't have contact with my sister in law, but, went through it last year for the rest of my family. I'm still deciding on what to do this year. I'd love to go bush and not be any part of it. Of course then I'll be a villian and outcast to everyone else.
I have to shuffle on home now. I might try and visit later while I'm at the gym, but, I wont have to many words on my phone. Have a good afternoon Mumi, it was nice having some company and a chat with you. 🙂

Re: Taking the plunge
Thanks @Former-Member. It's a bit quite than usual which is nice. Often a bit of a madhouse lately. Not going to be around to long as I want to get home for the cricket tonight. Hopefully it's not piddling down in England.
What did you have for dinner? I had my usual salmon and salad. I am down to only one piece of fish now. Fun times lol

Re: Taking the plunge
Hi @Maggie I got another delivery today from wish. Com. Diamond painting of course lol this one is a colourful abstract elephant. The canvas looks much better than the one I am attempting now. I can share a picture of it tomorrow if your interested. Think my current one is going to take a long time to complete.
Hope you are doing OK. ❤️❤️🌻🌻🐦🏵️

Re: Taking the plunge
@Former-Member , a lot of D’s behaviour and reactions at the moment will be to do with her age. Their brain is flooding with hormones as young adults, and their mouths can tend to run away with them, and then they don’t know how to retract things they have said, or even apologise. They go really wonky, which is one reason I refer to mine as baby dragons, and they “bite the hand that feeds them” .... a lot .... so you are far from alone in terms of that experience. It’s rough, and heartbreaking in the moment, but give her a little space and time. You know she loves you ...... I hope this comes around for you soon Hon ..... hugs n hugs. Keep taking care of you.

Just doing a fly-by here. I managed to leave my phone at home this morning, but my D3 brought it to uni for me this afternoon, so doing a quick catch-up before ai start rethinking an assignment that is not coming together at the moment 🤨

Re: Taking the plunge
Hi @Faith-and-Hope, that was nice of your daughter. Hope your assignment comes together for you tonight.
I finished another diamond painting if you want to have a look on the craft thread. It's a tree frog. Think it's my favourite so far. I have seen some of the peacock ones around , they look pretty amazing.
Take care ☺️🐸
