Re: Taking the plunge

@Former-Member Hubby is out of hospital now, im guessing your nursing duties are in full swing by now. There's so much I'd like to say, but you've heard it all before. Please talk here, this is your only outlet, I know how hard that is. At least you don't have to travel in and out to the hospital but I'm guessing you have a difficult patient on your hands. I found yesterday, I made myself hand water the garden just to get outside. It helps in small ways, and after all that's all we have in the end, those annoying, very annoying small steps. Thank you for being here with me and everyone else. Yes you are right about the snow on the hills. The weekend we had two frosts and wind. Back to semi winter. The coming week is heating up. Thinking of you and take care.❣❣❣❣

Re: Taking the plunge

@Former-Member Please take care of you and D. I was pleased to read you are taking anti anxiety meds through this and taking care of your toe. I can't imagine how very hard this is for you. Pleased don't feel you have to respond to this, I will chat away to you keeping you company but not awake, I'll let you get some sleep. Try to rest. We are all carrying you in our hearts.💞💞💞

Re: Taking the plunge

@Former-Member I was pleased to read in your response to @Former-Member that you see you are important. Well done you. By the sound of things your family don't agree, all the more cheers to you. I don't envy your Christmas arrangements/disagreements, such a difficult time of year for so many in just as many different ways. You are an earth angel, empathy oozes through, don't change that, but remember you in there also. I have this same gift and I'm greatful for it. There's a book on earth angels I read not too long ago. I found it interesting.

How you will sort out Christmas I have no idea, but I know one S will be missing along with a part of your heart. I hear this with the lady I talk to, the depth of love. Just makes it so unbearably difficult. Family sounds to be a tough one or is that an understatement??? When I moved I deliberately lost mine apart from one brother who is in contact about three times a year. Too many triggers plus I felt they had already taken all I had.

Please don't ever feel your problems are less than another's. Suffering is just that suffering. Pain is pain. I'm sending warm thoughts. Thank you for your support through yet another valley. I can't stay away from all you people, I miss you all too much. 💖💖💖

Re: Taking the plunge

Hi @Maggie. Yes hubby is a very difficult patient indeed. And although its a big relief not to have to up and head off to the hospital all the time, it is still pretty much a full time thing performing nursing duties. I would have been happier had he agreed to stay the additional 2 nights in hospital as the Dr had tried to convince him to do. Just to ensure he was a little stronger. But oh well, he's here now and we are both coping. Not easily, but we are getting by. Should hear from the oncologist early this week which will mean another apt with him. So we are back to the waiting game now.

Speaking of watering the garden, thats my Monday morning duty actually. I'm about to go and water all the undercover pots on our deck. Had rain overnight which was nice, and today is meant to be fairly warm leading up to some storms in the afternoon. Then cooler weather again from tomorrow.

Oh really, you're back to frosty nights? I miss frosts, but I really dislike windy weather.

I'm thinking of you too Maggie and hope you are doing okay. I miss my former support crew, and I expect you might too? I would like to try to get back into some sort of routine this week, ie gym on Tuesdays and visiting an old lady friend in a nursing home on Wednesdays. However with a number of apts for hubby this week, plus the uncertainty of when his oncologist apt will be, I cant make any definite arrangements. So things like an apt with my psych and my GP will need to wait for a while longer.

Must go now and get a few things done for the morning.

Sherry
