Re: Taking the plunge

Thanks @Gazza75 Basket making sounds like a wonderful mindful activity. We do have some good pine needles in Tassie - great natural resources for many things. I do love our little state - everything is close as well.

@Former-Member Here Hon

Do you mind me asking what the episode was like. I hope you don’t mind me asking. @Gazza75

Because I hate the idea that you have been misdiagnosed

Re: Taking the plunge

I am having a quiet day today @Former-Member after a long day yesterday. One of my parents is sick and I spent the day at the hospital with them yesterday.

How about you? Are you OK?

Re: Taking the plunge

@Former-Member, I don't mind. I was manic, no doubt about it. I was very worked up as I didn't feel people (esp his wife) were helping my brother enough and they were putting his life in danger. My father in law had a gastro bug, he was living with my brother and his wife. I was concerned she gave the bug to him while he was in ICU. She took there kids up to see him, even when he was dead against it.

Also she kept going there after he contracted gastro bug. As much as I wanted to help him, i didn't see him again for months. The whole thing was a mess due to his wife, she treated my family like crap. No communication whatsover.

They both accused me of transmitting it becuase I'd been on my farm prior to visiting him. It was a combination of that and lack of sleep that got me to tipping point. I was pretty sceptical about it as I was more catious than his wife was when we were in ICU, i'd put the disinfectant on up to my elbows at least 3 or 4 times before I got into the room with him. I knew he'd try and blame me if something went wrong LOL 🙂

My thoughts were racing and my speach was fast. After a few days in the mental health unit I slowed down due to medications and getting some rest. I appealed to get out early but got knocked back. They didn't tell me my diagnosis untill I was discharged.

All of the nurses is in there said I was 'normal' and compared to some of the other patients they had I think I was.

@Zoe7, I had a feeling you would have some good ones down there. I'd love to visit and do a nice long trip around Tasmania sometime. It's not a place I'd go to just for a week or something. It's definitely on my bucket list in front of a lot of other places. Have you always lived there? BTW, you sound like a wonderful teacher and educator.

Sounds so rough @Former-Member 🙁Do you need to speak with someone about what you're scared about?

Re: Taking the plunge

Thank you @Gazza75 I lived in Sydney for a little while but came home just after Port Arthur happened - was already considering coming home but that tipped my decision.
