Re: Taking the plunge

Yes snuggled on the couch with Toby @Former-Member @Maggie @Shaz51 Had a sleep but still feeling much the same.

Staying warm @Shaz51 - heater on and jumper over my jammies

@Maggie Certainly has been a long few weeks - thought I mhad avoided getting sick this year but with sick kids around me I suppose it was inevitable

Re: Taking the plunge

Is it the flu or something else @Zoe7

Memories of working with kids.

So many good points, but hated picking up all the bugs

Re: Taking the plunge

It’s actually quite scary having D’s dad here. He’s so judgemental

Re: Taking the plunge

Thanks @Former-Member , I'm happy to chat too. I can't write to much after work as I'm very slow at using my phone. Not sure how people do it. You are good company.

Re: Taking the plunge

Just a cold @Former-Member but my immune system has been low since I had the flu 3 years ago. That was the beginning of the depression hitting so hard again too so not a good time for me.

It would be scary having D's father there too - you do not need someone judgemental in your life Hon - you have enough to deal with

Re: Taking the plunge

I know what you mean @Zoe7

I loved working with the kids. But, oh my gosh. Every bug that was there, I got it.

Re: Taking the plunge

@Zoe7, hope you feel better soon. 🙂

@Former-Member, I do a little craft when I can. I got into it when I was a lot younger when I visited the USA. I found a craft kit on making baskets and I taught myself how to do it from that. I got pretty good at that, but, I can't track down any good materials to use here in Australia to do any more. I'll have to try and get out to the blue mountains as that's the only place I've found with 1/2 decent pine needles. I bet Tasmania might have good ones to. The ones here are too short. I miss making them now.

More recently I did some colouring in when I was in the mental health unit last year. My mum is totally hooked on doing that now, my dad was for a while but he's dropped the ball on it. I'm worried about him as all he does is sleep. I'm not very good at art stuff, but, I like to play around a bit.

I was a bit annoyed the other day as someone from work nicked 1 of the 2 baskets I have left. I had to leave about 50 in the US. I am sorry you feel intimidated by ex. Not good Mumi.
