Re: Taking the plunge
Annoying @Former-Member ? Good heavens ... certainly not!
I appreciate your company. Thanks for being around.
And of course I understand you missing having a dog or cat around. Especially when you've almost always had one or the other. Sorry the fostering option didnt work out for you, re the dog. Perhaps something to think about again in future? Though not to be taken lightly, in so far as the responsibilities involved in being a pet owner.

Re: Taking the plunge
Smiling at the conversation @Former-Member @Former-Member dogs, cats, snoring, partners, eels and all the footy names.
Im all for a dog in the bed not a partner. Mine snored, the partner, very loud, very annoying.
Sounds like really bad weather @Former-Member hooe you’ll be ok while hubbys away. Another very emotional time, sorting your mums things. Sorry it’s such a tough time. 💕💜

Lol. I’m glad I don’t have a snoring partner in my bed.

Re: Taking the plunge
I haven’t had an electric blanket since I was a kid. Nice memories in a way. Well mostly terrible. Won’t go there.
Mum was good in some ways @Maggie

Yeah me too @Former-Member ... waves to @Maggie behind the support button there.
I love my sports Mumi, always have. I am keeping an eye on @Zoe7 s Lions in the AFL, but also doing some other bits and pieces on the computer. Actually just finished lodging my husbands income tax return online for him. An easy process, but one which is good to have done after being away so much over the past month. My own tax return is a little more involved, but I will likely get to it tomorrow perhaps.
Other than that, I have managed to keep the washing on the line long enough to dry and have remade beds and have fresh towells etc all done. I have the r/c aircon on trying to stay warm right now. Didnt want to have to go out into the cold wind to get wood for the fire, so the aircon will have to do tonight. Essentially I'm locked away inside most of the day, for all sorts of reasons I wont go into.
Heard from hubby a little while ago and he has reached his destination. Where his friend lives, and where he is staying for the next 10/11 days while I'm away. Relieved he's there safe as with the weather so bad, its always a worry on the road.
@Zoe7 .. you asked earlier when I leave for my Dads place. I leave at 1.30am Tuesday morning. Taking the train, as advised by my psych. She didnt think I was in a fit state of mind to be driving right now. And I tend to agree with her. I really dont like driving, so happy not to be driving. Plus driving any distances makes my back and shoulder very painful. Often affecting me for weeks afterwards. But unfortunately it means I cant take Holly with me, which I would have done if I drove. Oh well. Poor little Holly gets left behind again. But I'm only gone a week and a day. Returning Tuesday late arvo. The day before hubby returns as well. All worked out to fit in with him.
