Re: Taking the plunge
Nice you have some good memories of your mum @Former-Member especially now.
I have times I feel empathy towards mine. She was mentally very unwell, and her background was lacking on every level. Other times......I’m angry. Confusing really.

Re: Taking the plunge
What makes me feel worth while is helping others. And I’m so exhausted. I feel so worthwhile when I help others at the nursing home. Helping them eat their dinner etc. but I’m so tired. I can’t visit often. Why is life so hard @Maggie @Former-Member

Re: Taking the plunge
Yes @Former-Member it is very tiring mentally. But it also feels good to help others. I know from my continuing volunteer work at a local nursing home here that it is very rewarding to know you can help others to perform the simple tasks they are now unable to perform themselves.
Okay I'm off for a while now. I need to get something to eat for dinner. Kinda skipped lunch along the way, so better get some dinner I guess. Although I did have poached eggs for breakfast, so not all bad. After that I might do what @Maggie is doing ... surf the TV channels and find something intriguing to watch on tele. Can surely find a decent movie. Off to try anyway ....

Re: Taking the plunge
@Former-Member I honestly don’t know why life is soooooooo hard. I seem to have more unanswered questions now than I do answers. Where’s all that promised wisdom?

Re: Taking the plunge
You sound like me @Former-Member alone and you say sorry for everything.
You don’t have to be sorry. You are going through hell right now. I don’t know what to say to help, but I’m right here. 💕💜❤️
