Re: Taking the plunge
@Maggie I am glad you have her, you deserve someone like that helping you. I.am.worried about my next move. I am putting it off, it will be a serious downsize for me. Farm with room to who knows what. Dam my brother and the trouble he has wreaked on.me.
Hope it is your last move for a while.

Re: Taking the plunge
I am okay thanks @Maggie Just getting my head around work and what I need to get done over the next couple of days. It will certainly keep me busy but necessary to get done so I can make it through a full week next week.
How is little Mags? Toby is spread out next to me sound asleep. He certainly brings a smile to my face ![]()

Re: Taking the plunge
That will be a big change for you @Gazza75 do you have anywhere in mind, or is it still in the planning stages? Sorry if you’ve written about it elsewhere.
Yes, this really needs to be my last move.

Re: Taking the plunge
@Zoe7 Mags is tucked beside me also, enjoying the new electric blanket.
Work will keep you busy. I guess preparation is a biggie. I read you aren’t sure you can stay there long term, I hope it works out for you, as they seem supportive, and you deserve that.

Re: Taking the plunge
@Maggie I don't have anywhere in mind, I can't really afford to buy anything near my parents which is what I need to do now. I haven't written about it anywhere. I am at a bit of a loss with it. Thought I would retire and live out my days in the Bush, but, seems fate has other ideas.

Re: Taking the plunge
There have been 8 requests for transfers to our school @Maggie so it is very unlikely I will be able to stay. I am going to have a conversation with the Principal next week and let him know that I do really want to stay and ask if that is even a remote possibility. I fear the answer will be no but it will have nothing to do with my performance there but more to do with the way the system works ![]()
I haven't had to use my electric blanket more than a few times so far this winter but I have had the heater going non-stop - the bill will be huge and definitely not looking forward to that when it comes (which should be soon!)
I read that you sent a letter off to a politician about your situation. It seems to be so long that you have been waiting for a house and that is not okay. The system really is broken Hon but hoping that you hear something soon - especially with how much you have done to push it ahead. Certainly have everything crossed for you Hon ![]()

Re: Taking the plunge
Life sure can twist things @Gazza75 . A change from the bush will be a big one. I have a brother who had to do that because of unexpected changes also.
Being near your parents sounds like something you would like to do, but things don’t always turn out how we would like them to. We both have big changes in store. I will be in the same city at least, so my move won’t be as big as yours will be. Lots to think about. It’s a really hard time eh.
