Re: Taking the plunge

@Zoe7 I have no idea how schools work, but common sense, if it still exists, would tell me to keep a present reliable teacher at the school where she’s doing a good job!!! Systems, systems.

I had to buy the electric blanket @Zoe7 as I can’t afford the heater. I can’t even afford to pay the power bill off. It will end soon, it has to, my lease is up in two mths, if I don’t get a flat I’m on the streets, that’s scaring me, really scaring me.

Thanks for crossing everything for me @Zoe7 , I have everything crossed for you also, I would like you to stay at this school, more change could be stressful, too stressful. 💕💕

Re: Taking the plunge

This housing saga is certainly not good @Maggie I can only imagine the stress it is all placing upon you The housing situation here feels beyond repair - so many needing housing and yet the government seems to be continuing to sit on their hands - not good at all - grrr!!!

It is ridiculous that people like you have to choose between eating and heating Hon - it is not acceptable in the society we live in - there really should be more being done. I don't know what the answer is but what we have now is not good enough!

Yes the system is unfortunately the system. I have to be placed somewhere but where that is will probably not be determined until the end of the year. I really have very little choice but still holding onto a little bit of hope that I can stay. I know if it was up to the school then I could but unfortunately that is not how it works

Re: Taking the plunge

@Zoe7 That’s weird eh, the school wants you but the system chooses. Hopefully by the end of the year you will know.

The food is another huge issue here @Zoe7 . I pay, but can’t eat what they provide. So more expense for me. For some reason, the cook can’t do vegetarian meals, even though I was told they did provide for them. Both my counsellor and I have met with the cook and manager on several occasions. I was assured things would change, but they haven’t , but I don’t have the emotional energy to fight that any longer, my efforts are going into moving. Sorry, a bit of a rave there, it’s a sore spot.

Goodnight @Zoe7 I hope you sleep tonight.

@Gazza75 I hope I didn’t trigger you tonight talking about moving. Sorry if I did.

Re: Taking the plunge

Rave away @Maggie only too happy to listen Hon

It would be taking so much emotional energy to have so much on your plate and then along with that your dietry needs are not being met - so frustrating I understand you having to put your energies into the housing situation and not having the fight to keep asking for the same thing over and over again with the Manager and cook. That is no way to be treating you and I find it unacceptable that you have to fork out more money when it should be supplied for you.

I'll be up for a while yet - just had dinner (late for me) and haven't had meds yet. Need to do that now so I am not up all night. Hope you get some sleep too Maggie. Keep me updated with how the housing thing is going - or if you just need to vent

Re: Taking the plunge

Hi @Maggie , you didn't trigger me at all. I can't type much when I'm using the phone like I was at the gym last night. Like Zoe, i've everything crossed for you in regard to your housing and living situation. I kmow how hard it can be to make ends meet. Have a good day and take care.
