Re: Taking the plunge
@Former-Member Oh how I know those feeling of being unwelcome, unwanted also the moment by moment effort to overcome them, we are doing well aren't we. I so look forward to reading what everyone has to contribute, it's helpful knowing others are struggling ( though I wish they weren't ) with issues the same as me. @Former-Member The medication issue is a complex one with DID, too hard to explain, and I feel you might run a mile if I did. But mix it with PTS and it becomes almost impossible. I'm sitting imagining you laughing, chatting with your boys!!! It brings a lovely pic to my mind. I'm hoping you are enjoying it, and of course the food.
@Former-Member I love that pic, nature seems to give and give. I'm struggling today so no gardening done, though I have watered and walked around just checking how things are growing. I did go back to bed, but thanks to fur baby, I'm up!!!!!! I suppose that's a good thing. I'll check in later to see if anyone's around. I'm having a brain overload I think.

Re: Taking the plunge
Good evening @Maggie@Former-Member@Former-Member and all
This is a lovely warm group we have going here. I look forward to reading all your posts at the end of the day. Thank you everyone for your well wishes for my husband.
It sounds like you had a similar injection in your lower spine @Former-Member - do you remember how long it gave you relief for? Was your back problem caused by bone on bone (degenerative)? So far so good, my husband is finding relief. I hope it lasts for him. Sorry to read you did t sleep well - makes the day much harder doesn't it. I am don't fall asleep until 1:00 or 2:00 am - and then awake at 9 or 10:00. I am working on getting the body clock back in order - it was all the stress that put it out I think. Do you often have trouble sleeping? It's good to see you posting again - I often wondered how you were getting on. I often think about what you are going through with your son...how hard it is; suffering similar once with my daughter. It made me happy to read of the close loving relationship you have with your other son - and your husband, being like mine, your rock. We do need them so xxxxx
@Former-Member - Woo hoo, planning a holiday!!! What a great idea, and yes - a big step. I feel this will really do you good and that you will both have a great time. I do relate to the anxiety of getting lost in traffic in those unfamiliar destinies. I can freak out too. I lost some of my confidence driving when living in the country for 10 years - there was never a soul on the road. Then driving back in traffic was so unnerving. And with having my breakdown and being agrophobic at that time, I then stopped driving at all for awhile. Now I only drive in familiar territory within an 1 hours radius around me. I don't drive out of my comfort zone. Mainly because I have everything around me here that I need, including friends, work, medical, shops, beach, restaurants and my daughter in that area and have become set in my ways. There is so much to do here. I don't think I could drive outside that to save my life! Possiblily not a good thing because it is restricting but suits me.
Please keep us up to date with the holiday plans. It's exciting and you richly deserve it 💕xx
Hello my sister @Maggie - I am just holding it together today. I am so tired - exhausted. I can't wait until this week is over. I popped in after the medical appt to see my daughter today and she was very stressed. I couldn't do or say anything right and husband has been testy too 😬 Daughter did apologise for stressing as we walked out the door which was something. She has improved but clearly still has her issues. It will take time I know but has left me feeling abit down. Another appointment tomorrow - can't wait for the weekend. My brother is coming down the weekend after this coming one now so I may actually get to do more on the short story 😁.
Your blood pressure sounds like it needs adjusting with blood pressure meds with it going up and down regularly. Not good my friend. My husband gets dizzy spells when his is too low (he has a similar problem). I remember going on and off anti-ds - and they could do that to me as well, especially when either first going off them or weaning off, they would give me dizzy spells until my body adjusted to them or being completely withdrawn off them.
It can be tough going for awhile when first going on a new med. Hopefully when fully absorbed into your system (can take anywhere from 6 weeks to 3 months) the tiredness will lift and you will feel better. The side effects in the beginning make us feel worse at first, but hopefully this should wear off for you. Fingers crossed. Hopefully you are feeling a bit better this evening. What plans do you have for tomorrow? Sending lots of love your way 💕🌹xx

Re: Taking the plunge
@Former-Member I was pleased to hear your brother is coming later than planned, a breather for you in the middle of a very difficult week. I'm not surprised you are exhausted, today is Thursday, which means tomorrow is Friday and it comes to an end. Please leave the house cleaning this time, just this once, it will wait and you are probably the only one whe really notices. Just a suggestion out of concern is all.
Your daughter will have her moments, we all do, but she's doing such a good job atm, and recognising where she's making mistakes. You are doing a great job there, don't lose heart, it's happening and slowly is the way to go,it's more lasting.
I have been on BP medication and it was increased three times, then stabilised. I have no idea why all of a sudden it's gone low. Yes meds affects, I'm really hoping to find something, anything that works, just a small relief. Today I will try to potter in the garden, that's all I feel like doing.
Sending warm thoughts as you head out to another app. today. Take care sis.

Re: Taking the plunge
Dear @Maggie.
Good morning to you. Sorry to hear that your BP has gone from high to low. Low BP can be quite difficult at times, I get that too. The periods of dizziness and running into walls is a little disturbing when it happens. I guess you've been taken off all the BP meds now then? At least for a while.
So sorry that ADs just dont seem to be working for you. After all the difficulties involved in trying new meds, only to find they arent going to work for you, it must be very upsetting. I admire your resolve to keep trying to find something that DOES work.
I hope you manage to spend some time in your garden today. You and your little pooch will hopefully enjoy it out there. Are all your bulbs still blooming? And did the passionfruit vine survive the winter?
Warm thoughts and a gentle hug coming your way.

Re: Taking the plunge
Good morning to you @Former-Member and Thankyou for the beautiful flowers. All the bulbs are finished now and not looking attractive, but I'm told the goodness goes back into the bulb so to leave them alone. Well @Former-Member just two weeks ago I pulled up that passionfruit vine as there was no sign of life only to find tiny underground roots. I was thrilled and decided to plant it over the other side of my garden as my neighbour sprays his fence line. So, back to watching for growth again.
Yes off all BP meds. I'm brused from walking into things @Former-Member lol. I have coordination outage. Regarding other meds, personally I have given up looking and will give this one a try at least, but it's my last try. I've been to your thread earlier and will post later. Right now I need a coffee. When do you have to face another drive into the city????? Warm thoughts to you.💞💞💞

Re: Taking the plunge
Hi @Maggie, really happy to hear about the passionfruit vine. Hope remains, both for new growth, as well as for an AD which works for you.
Oh, good news about hubby. Looks like today is it! Patient transport organised to transfer him from the city to our local country hospital today. At last. Its been a long haul I can tell you. Of the 19 days he's been in the hospital, I have been there 12 days. Very relieved that there will be no more travelling and no more overnighters. To visit him now, it will only take me about 20mins to get there. Much better. And his many friends will be able to visit him as well, so that will definitely help with his recovery.
Enjoy your coffee. I just made myself a pot of tea, and will have vegemite toast as well for breakfast. Vegemite is meant to be very good for you actually, especially if you arent eating that much. Lots of the Vit B's I guess. My psych recommended it! Its a beautiful morning here and me and Holly are about to go outside on the deck and just sit in the sun. Try to clear the mind from everything for a while. ![]()

Re: Taking the plunge
Oh @Former-Member finally some good news for you, I really am pleased to hear that. With other friends visiting, mit might give you some free time to rest and eat vegemite . Lol. I used to like it on toast, but these days eating for me has gone backwards, but I'm looking forward to summer and some fruit.
My fur baby is by my side always, apart from when I'm trying to put up curtain poles!!!!! Things get rough and she lies on the bed. Enjoy your time on the deck, tea and vegemite. Cool here, grey skies, windy and rain forcast. No complaints from me, I don't have to keep moving the hose. Thinking of you today and the big move. Try to take care of yourself. 😍😍😍
