Re: Taking the plunge

Thank you dear @Former-Member. Yes, husband is in agony. I also found anxiety worse during the night and first thing in the morning - managing to shake it off during the day sometimes (keeping busy helped). I had a lot of trouble with it due to grief and peri/menopause as well - but stress and worry was the undoing. I do relate to what you are saying and know how tough it can be. We are here for you if you ever want to talk about it or simply to sit with you through it. The photos can take a little while to be visible - hope you like it. Sending a warm hug xx 💕

Re: Taking the plunge

hello @Former-Member

thank you for thinking about me and asking after me....can make a difference on some days...

I am sorry to hear that so much is going on in your life for you..

anxiety is heightened when external situations ...out of our control....are present in our lives...

I find late afternoon....early evening are my worst times...

having said that I am now back on sleeping tablets due to change in different situations re family members..

I hope that things ease up a little at least for you.....

I remember you talking about finding it hard to get out of the home....I experience this too...

at the moment the weather is my excuse...

I did ask my husband to come with me today...he asked why...I just said that would be helpful for him to observe that I am changing gears properly in car....that worked...

achieved quite a bit...

Do you feel as though you stand out as odd...I do? I sometimes say silly things and think after my goodness did that come out of my mouth?

I find that I am clumsy too....everything takes three times as long....

have to just keep working at it....I dont know about you but I am now so tired of wasting days..

take care

Re: Taking the plunge

@Former-Member I will be ready with my iPad in the morning. We can talk our way through the difficult times and hope hubby gets some relief. So glad you managed to sleep. It just shows how tired you are, hope tonight you can get some peace and sleep, but I do know the app. Will be on your mind. Lunch with daughter will be lovely to finish off a stressful time.

Thanknyou for your words regarding MI. I think because I seem to multiply more, rather than integrate, I feel defeated, even though as a group,we manage. It's expectations not from my counsellor, more me really. I had no help either till I was 50 and the wheels fell completely off the wagon, then while in hospital, I was given just about every label know at the time. Some I've disposed of myself, just keep what I believe is real to me now. But then the mental health gave up. A lost cause, too hard basket. Then I found my counsellor and slowly we are working through extreme trauma. I know you understand this.

Visitor came this afternoon and we went to Bunnings. Yum!!!!! I have new plants. A boronia and about 5 other plants that I have no idea what they are, just looked pretty. They have name but not English ones. I have taken a pic of the iris in my garden atm, beautiful. Rest up this evening. Sending warm thoughts.💖💖

@Former-Member Sorry your having anxiety attacks, they are so hard to get through, and drain your energy levels big time. Do you have to take up the dress by hand or machine? I would imagine which ever, it's a difficult job being such an important occasion. You still have your own outfit to find which could be both exciting and daunting. I guess seeing your daughter graduate is going to be such a proud moment for you both. I hope when it happens you create beautiful memories. Did you manage a walk on the beach today or is it too hot yet? We are having all the seasons in one day, rain, sun, wind, it's not too cold, must chilly. I'm getting ready to watch neighbours then home and away. Hope your evening is okish. Warm thoughts.💛💛💛

@Former-Member Brene Brown is talking about vulnerability and shame,,plus lots of other things. There's a few short 5min talks on the net which I found really helpful.

Re: Taking the plunge

@Former-Member So good to hear from you. Regarding standing out as odd, well, I get a tick for that one, but it can feel so incredibly hurtful when you are doing your best and many don't get it. I spent most of my time at home because of anxiety and fear of people. Sometimes it's lonely, but easier in ways also. I've found working in the garden, something new to me, is helping, when I can get myself out there that is.

The new car sounds like a hit, is that correct. Can you park it?????? I was told I drove better backwards than forwards when I was taking driving lessons. I never took to driving well at all, best I'm not on the road now. I hope you're holding up,okish @Former-Member, you sound busy. Thinking of you.💕💕💕
