Re: Taking the plunge

@Former-Member We will give the phone a test run then and hopefully get through the appointment together. I haven't managed to get to my cross stitch as visitor came and in between I was looking after puppy. I need good light and it's clouding over now so, hoping tomorrow. We did go to Bunnings and bought, what looked like, an easy weed pulling gadget, always a sucker somewhere, today it was me!!! There's always hope that practice makes perfect, but so far, just holes in the lawn.lol. It read like. No kneeling or bending, ergonomic, that sounded too healthy, the ergonomic part, but it could be a good workout, though not intended, supposed to be simple, there in lies the sucker part. So cross stitch could have been a better choice!!!!!!

So you've washed the car and cleaned the house, I admire your energy levels though I hope you put your feet up tonight. You do say the loveliest things and I do appreciate it. I've never had a sister, just 7 brothers, so sisters it is, it feels good. I'm going to watch neighbours, then have a shower, go to bed and watch better homes and gardens, then lights out. Sleep well sis. Good night.😀😀😍😍

Re: Taking the plunge

@Former-Member I forgot to ask, we are in daylight saving time so right now it's 6.20. Are you in the same time zone, just so we get it right for Tuesday.

Re: Taking the plunge

Hello my sister @Maggie 😊

It is the same time zone for NSW and Tasmania. Surprisingly as we are so far away from each other. Sounds like you have had an eventful day - a weed pulling gadget haha. Yes please 🙋, I would like one of them. No more bending or kneeling. Sounds like gardening heaven 😇

My energy levels have soared....this beautiful spring weather helps, but I think it's more the fact that my depression is starting to lift because of the positive turn around with my daughter. Amazing really - oh what worry and grief can do....It's an enormous weight. It was getting to a stage that if the stress continued it would of near destroyed me. I am so glad I did not give up.

You watch the same programmes we do - my husband loves neighbours, I prefer Better homes and Gardens. All adds up too a peaceful, relaxing evening. Life can be so wonderful in those moments. We are off to our new home location tomorrow - they have actually started work on our building site 😃 So not long now. Will you be out weeding tomorrow? Can't wait to hear the commentary of the weeding tool - hoping it doesn't end up in with the pulled weeds. Enjoy your evening my forever sis and sleep well. 😴💕

Re: Taking the plunge

Hi @Maggie

How are you feeling today? Just popping in to check

I am overwhelmed. Have been shopping then friends came over. They just left - now have to cook 48 Indian samosas. My step son, wife and their two children are coming tomorrow, as well as my daughter. Then during the week I have my volunteer work, three days of specialists appts, a birthday dinner on Thursday night, cleaning Friday; and my brother rang asking to stay next weekend 😫. When it rains it pours. Yes, feeling a tad overwhelmed. I will have have to hold off my writing until next week - and put off any more interruptions 😬

I have been thinking of you and wondering how you are going? Hope all is well 🤗🌹💜xx

Re: Taking the plunge

@Former-Member OMG I honestly don't know HOW you do it, but you do. Somewhere in between ALL the overwhelming feelings, I hope you stop and find you somewhere. Please go gently @Former-Member you already have overload with appointments looming. Might be cross stitch time?????

I'm having "everyone hates me" lost and found, mixed emotions, so have kept myself scarce just reading in the background. Raining, then sun shining day here, very pleasant weather anyway. Sending warm thought, many thanks for the thoughts and care, much appreciated.💗💗💗

Re: Taking the plunge

Oh @Maggie - they are painful feelings. Sending a big warm hug 🤗 When these mixed emotions assails you, do you find anything that helps? Here if you want to talk.

I am finding when overwhelmed tears are just below the surface, but I soldier on. I also can find myself tense and fighting unwanted low feelings. Stress is an awful thing. At first it was challenging, now it feels a bit much. I will be glad when next week arrives. If hubby wasn't sick it would be much more manageable. Life can take some funny turns - everything comes at once. Do you find that?

Sitting here with you my friend holding your hand. You are much loved - the opposite to what yours thoughts are telling you. That's depression talking. I know how convincing that can feel at times. Feeling for you. Here anytime you need to vent about anything. ❤️

Re: Taking the plunge

@Former-Member Nothing helps, but I jump from doing one thing then another, the trying to out run myself/thoughts, that never works, but I at least feel, like I've done something, anything and everything but actually nothing really. See the mixed stuff. Thankyou for just caring, THAT is huge and appreciated.

You must be feeling run ragged and the week hasn't even begun. I never have situations like that as I just don't have anyone in my life apart from fur baby and visitor, believe me, that's more than enough for me. No one EVER comes for a meal as I have NO idea how to cook, nor do I want to learn. I'm hoping you can pace yourself in this coming time and find time for you. Take care.💖💖

Re: Taking the plunge

That is a good thing - feeling like we have done something @Maggie What you achieve in your garden, home decor and cross stitching is magic. Brings joy to others. Your kind, supportive words here the same. Heals wounds, soothes the spirit. That is achieving much.

I hear you and totally understand. All we can do is our best. I really do care - and will always be there - that you can be guaranteed. Lean on me.

I have just finished in the kitchen. Am totally exhausted. Normally I don't have that many visitors - must be something in the air lol.

Now I will put my feet up - there is a good movie on tonight called "Collateral Beauty" that I am going to watch at 8:30 and unwind. I saw it at the movies about a year ago - really enjoy it so don't mind watching it again. Will answer any new posts here too if there is any. Hope your evening is a relaxing one. Talk tomorrow my dear sister 💕xxx

Re: Taking the plunge

@Former-Member As usual I've been tossing this around wondering to post or not to post. I might be right off here, if I am I will get this removed, please just let me know. I wrote this for my, ( one of them) inner child. Just felt to reach out to little @Former-Member

I thought I'd found some solid ground

And I had broken through

But I realised I'd asked too much too soon

I know your heart is broken

Your little body too

Sometimes I just don't know what to do

I see a tiny spirit

Set free from so much pain

A little girl learning to live again

Right now I'm dreaming out loud

Right now I'm dreaming out loud

I can only promise if you choose to stand

I'll be right beside you reaching out my hand

Even if you choose to hide

Im right here by your side

I'll never ask too much again

And bring you extra pain

I seem to fall so often and let you down again

I see a tiny spirit set free from so much pain

A little girl learning to live again

Right now I'm dreaming out loud

Right now I'm dreaming out loud

Hope this is ok. Once again, if you want it removed I will do it straight away, for some strange reason I felt an urge to share this.❣

Re: Taking the plunge

Hi @Maggie

I loved what you wrote. You have a talent with expressing your innermost feelings. I could resonate with this given my childhood - a helpless feeling. It's good to see that someone else can relate - few can.

I have to start taking it slower as I am burning out. I have been pushing too hard and I am feeling the effects. Hopefully will be able to keep up with our visitors today. Hope your day goes well and you are enjoying your nice weather in the garden. How did the weeding tool work out?

Wish me luck over the next few days, I will need it, and thank you so much for being there. Keep writing, you have a gift there and I can relate. Hugs 🤗 xx
