Re: Taking the plunge
@Faith-and-Hope
Sometimes the hardest situations in life teach us more..
knowing that a loved one is suffering so much.....not being able to help.....having to step back....is far more painful than I ever imagined....
having to let them work it out their way....what they believe is best for them...
all of us on these different threads carry deep pain......
it still blows my mind when I read so many reaching out offering support despite their own suffering....
out there in the world this happens but to a much lesser degree for those of us deemed as "different"
just rambling on as usual

Re: Taking the plunge
@Former-Member 5 more hours in the kitchen, now that has to be love in action, you do indeed love your daughter and I believe she loves you right back and to bits.
The appointment was very difficult. Seeing others with partners, friends, family, how did I manage to get so alone in life, I really don't know? Does it say it all about who I am, how completely unlovable or even unwanted. I don't know the answers, but it does leave you asking a lot of questions. If you have your iPad or phone on the day, I'll be happy to sit with you and message. I don't know if that would cause more anxiety but if it would help I'm here, otherwise in your pocket.
Im moving the hose around my garden this morning and another beautiful day, weatherwise anyway. I haven't touched my cross stitch in weeks but thank you for the nudge, I might later today. Looking forward to the pics of mermaid glitter and all. She will be a happy project. Also the writing thread sounds like it will be good for some many here. Very gifted people, you might be surprised with the outcome. I'm off to move the hose again, hope today treats you wellish, be good to you in some small way. Sending a warm hug.😀😀😀

@Maggie
to me this statement is the epitomy of helping someone struggling with mental illness symptoms..
no fixing...no advising....no sharing of our own pain.....just being present and letting them know that someone is listening and supporting them

Re: Taking the plunge
@Former-Member I responded earlier but ran out of power when I posted, hope this one makes it through. 5 hrs of cooking again. No doubt you love your daughter, and that is just a small example of what you do for her, she loves you right back I'm sure of that.
The appointment was really difficult the other day, the alone feeling and how did I manage to get here. Questions like am I reall this difficult to care about or be interested in plague my mind with answers I'll never really know but go on imagining. If you like I will message you during you waiting time at hubbys app. But if that causes more stress, I'm happy to sit in your pocket, can't say I'll be quite though.
Thank you for the nudge towards cross stitch, I'm going to have a try as I haven't done any for weeks now. Looking forward to your pics of mermaid with glitter plus. The writing thread sounds like it's coming along really well,you might be very suprise day at how it develops, there are very talented people here. I have my two dogs atm, one sleeping on my bed the other on my knee. I've watered my back yard and weatherwise another beautiful day here in tassie. I hope you got some rest last night, you sounded like you needed it. What are you upmtomtoday.? Whatever you do, I'm sending warm thoughts your way. Forgot to congratulate you one your bingo win the other day, the luck of the Irish !!!!!💜💜💜

Hello my dear @Maggie
Before I give my answer to the above I just want you to know that if I were able I would be there for you in a heartbeat. I feel that bond with you - to me you are as a sister. You are not only lovable but very special which is evident here.
Oh I do relate to what you are saying above. It's circumstance my friend. Not who we are. We had an abusive childhood and now have no extended family for support like most do. You were not able to conceive, for me I lost my dearest through death, unnatural means and bad circumstances. Tragic in many ways or us both. I have my husband but when he is ill he can, by no fault of his own, be absent. My few close friends have their own family issues and have little time. It's all circumstance my friend - nothing to do with who we are. Anyone would be blessed to have you in there lives.
Myself and husband have no family but we are highly regarded in the community. You are highly regarded here. The hard part is not having that moral support when the chips are down. And I asked myself the same question at times "how, why did I end up here". But for me it soon passes as life takes me down another adventurous purposeful path. The latter keeps me going, as does friendship like yours. It's real and it's rare. I had to answer this because it pains me to think that you feel unlovable - so far from the reality, but I do understand how a cold world at times makes us feel that way.
When I had my breakdown and struggles - I could not nurture friendships, I was just managing to stay afloat. So illness can also cause loneliness. Bad circumstance. But what I am discovering is even with that we can have a quality of life as good things can happen (just starting for me after 14 yrs of straight hell). There is a balance.
I would love to have your support online when I am in the waiting room when hubby has this risky procedure. I won't have my iPad, but I will have my husbands phone - I should be able to message on that. I will double check and let you know. The appt is on this Tuesday NSW's AE time 10:30am. I could do the exact same for you my dear friend, at any medical appt or anywhere you find difficult and feel alone, at any time you like. You never have to feel alone again 😊❤️.
I am really also looking forward to seeing what other wonderfully gifted people bring to the short story - I hope they like the theme. A challenge is always a good thing to broaden the horizons though I have found (fingers crossed). I can only put it out there and see what happens. I hope to have most of it done this weekend. Today I have washed the car, cleaned the house top to bottom and will also do some more cross stitching. How is your day going Maggie? Always thinking of you.
Hello @CheerBear - that coffee looked very inviting. It's always good to receive a shout out from you, lifts the spirits 💕
Hope today is also going well for you @Faith-and-Hope and @Former-Member 🤗. Thinking of you all.
