Re: Taking the plunge

Yes @Former-Member, not just a passion, but an obvious talent for embroidery and xstitch as well. I love that you did one from your husbands old army photo and medals. And yes I understand why you cant post that one here. My husband also served in Vietnam, but was Navy. He has a lot of friends who were clearance divers (underwater ordinances etc), and was a diver himself. A tough job, and more so for your hubby who was front line. Its great that he appreciated your efforts with the embroidery.

Oh the holiday crowds are highly stressful, just a maze of people. I kind of stand back and then make a run for it really. And just hope I dont actually collide with anyone as I cant really focus on individuals out there. Its like a moving mass of heaving humanity. I think mostly people manage to avoid me, rather than the other way around.

Oh I wish I had good eyesight. I used to, but not any more. Very frustrating trying to thread a needle. Ha ha ha, your poor hubby losing his dacks. Whats this with him wearing lime green undies? Is he a Canberra Raiders fan (NRL) or perhaps a Sydney Thunder fan (BBL)? Or does he just like lime green?

Wave to @Maggie @Former-Member. Thanks @Bunniekins, I will keep that in mind and likely talk to you on the day.

Sherry

Re: Taking the plunge

@Bunniekins I would highly recommend some type of craft that appeals to you. It really helps soothe the mind and spirit. You would have fun with it. And the end result of having created some thing that's pretty and uplifting that you made with your own hands is a good feeling. Knitting a scarf or crocheting would be enjoyable, @CheerBear is the expert there. Sorry to read that you are abit low. I will be here late on Christmas Day or early evening and will pop on and say hello. Treat yourself to something scrumptious and perhaps some festive music and a feel-good movie, always helps me. I hope you do enjoy some parts if not all of the day xxx

@Former-Member - hubby has a different colour underwear for every day of the week hahaha 😂 He is a fervent Parramatta supporter from way back. He has a good friend who is a Manly supporter whom rings him occasionally, to jibe him when Parramatta loses or is in trouble for something lol. They drive me mad when they are together cackling like old chooks in a pen aha. They are always giving each other a hard time in good fun

A very skilled and important job your husband and friends did in Vietnam. Hubby would have much in common with them. My husband only has started talking about what happened there recently. Not good. He lost a lot of friends to that war and so will not march on Anzac Day. Just the way it has effected him. But he is pleased with how I mounted his medals, cross stitched photo etc.

I really do not like crowds, I am forever avoiding them when possible. I am not so bad in open street malls and shop fronts, but not in enclosed areas where we are being knocked over or my ears are ringing from the auditory roar that resounds. I must be getting old and crabby aha.

It was really good to hear from you. Wishing you and hubby a relaxing and peaceful Christmas 🎄🍷

@Maggie I hope you are doing okay? Will pop on tomorrow and later Christmas Day to say hello to my dear friend. Sending warm thoughts and love your way 💗

Waving to @Former-Member@utopia@CheerBear@Faith-and-Hope sending a warm hug. Hoping with all I have that you obtain some reprieve from your pain to enjoy some peaceful and happy moments on Christmas Day with loved ones ❤️🎄

A warm shout out to my dear friend @Appleblossom - wishing you and yours a wonderful Christmas and New Year. Thank you for your friendship throughout the year ❤️xx

Re: Taking the plunge

@Former-Member Cheers to Mr E and his bright green undies, there is some cheering going on there. Lol.😂😂

The cross stitch you did for hubby sounds amazing, you are gifted, very gifted. I will be online Christmas Day, I'm hoping for a good movie on tv as I don't have a dvd attached. Last year I was the only one left in the flats, a different situation this year, so I'll see if anyone else is home for Christmas. Not that I have any intentions of sharing Christmas cheer. Lol.

I have two pavers kind of in. I need sand so they sit straight, next time I go to Bunnings I'll grab a bag. I must say my bones are aching, but good to have it well on the way. I put the passionfruit in without the liver, couldn't face that yesterday. YUK!!!!!!

I'll be thinking of you as you enjoy lunch with hubby and D. Hope to catch you later in the day. Enjoy your day. 🎄🎉

@Former-Member Thinking of you today. It will probable be a stressful day so sending warm thoughts. I do hope there are moments of joy tomorrow.🎊🎀☕️

@Former-Member I do admire you getting out there and shopping. I couldn't think of anything worse, or more stressful. I can only manage spotlight and Bunnings accasionally. Looks like the cricket is going well, at least it's less stress than shopping, or does that only apply if your side is winning.

We are very lucky atm weatherwise, most days being 21-22. Perfect for me. I hope your day tomorrow goes as well as can be expected. Warm thoughts.☂☀️🐾🐾🐾

@Bunniekins sorry you are low, the time of year I imagine. I will be online so look forward to a laugh with a funny naughty @Bunniekins. You take care. Hope you find a craft that you like, very satisfying. Have you thought of paper crafts ?????🎄🐾🍀🐸🐸🐸

@utopiaGood to hear you are feeling a little better. I hope tomorrow goes well for you and your family. 🎉🎄🌺🎶

@Appleblossom Hope your Christmas goes well.🎄🎄

Re: Taking the plunge

Good morning @Maggie@utopia@Appleblossom@Former-Member@Bunniekins@Former-Member@Faith-and-Hope@CheerBear and all

Your lucky with that low temp @Maggie. It is set to hit 36 today here but also predicted to cool off with possible showers for Christmas Day which will be nice.

What a wonderful idea to see if anyone else is home for Christmas! It would be nice to have a chat and share it with someone 😀, they feel better for it as you will - a win, win. That would be lovely. I will pop on later in the day/early evening to see how all are going.

Mr E has bright blue undies on today. He has a different colour for every day of the week lol. He is so ordered he lines them up in his draw ready for the next day (army habits). I opened the door looking for something to see his undies lined up for tomorrow - and guess what @utopia, they are bright red ones hahaha 🤣😂🤣😂. I roared laughing - hubby looked bewildered at me saying "what, what?". I lefted him looking gobsmacked 😉 Ahhh - men.

Hope you are feeling a bit better today @Bunniekins and @Former-Member.

Thinking of you @Former-Member and sending warm thoughts and virtual hugs 🤗 ❤️

Have a great one everyone 🎄🍷👋
