Re: Taking the plunge

@Former-Member. Good to hear you making such an effort. I'm sure your daughter will appreciate it. I hope you do go for your walk and get out of the house for a little while.
Already warm here. Will be 37° today. Hot.

Re: Taking the plunge

Oh that is hot @utopia
So far it's not too bad here.
It's the humidity that is hard to handle.
Slow start here.
Up and back to bed and up and down 😀
Washing is on and going to have my second cuppa soon.
Taking D to meet friends later.
Will see if I can make myself do a food shop by myself 😮😨
Funny how each day is different in what we can do/achieve. Sometimes shopping is bearable, other times I feel soooooooo anxious and stressed.
Sometimes I enjoy chatting to people in the shops, other times I want to hide.
Anyway, have a nice day. 😊💜

Thankyou so very much for including me on the other thread @Former-Member 😙💜💕

Re: Taking the plunge

Not a problem @Former-Member. I did not intend to put any pressure on you by mentioning you on the Christmas Present thread. I just wanted you to know I appreciate you, and others here as well. You dont have to say anything. Here is something for those of you who are regulars on this thread. @Former-Member @Maggie @utopia @Former-Member @CheerBear.

Re: Taking the plunge

Hi @utopia

I remember well my first heartache with my first boyfriend at 15. He went back over seas to New Zealand and at the beginning I felt lost. We really did bond and he use to tell me he loved me all the time. I eventually moved on to someone else but that first love has never been forgotten by me. It can hurt but it's special 💕

@Former-Member - I could imagine how pressured you must of felt by your family to have to move away from them. We can never heal properly under too much stress. Well done to your daughter for doing so well in her HSC - you must be so proud. You have done a great job with her - well done you. She must be so precious to you. What will you both do for Christmas? 🎄❤️

@Former-Member - it always sends a warm feeling through me when someone saids they have been thinking of me. That's special to me - thank you. I hope you are okay and your husband is feeling a bit better from the side effects etc of his treatment. I am always here for you 💗xx

@Maggie with music, craft, books, gardening and talking out loud when no one is about - we do have much in common haha. I love the song you shared "Bridge over troubled Water" - timeless and so uplifting. The mobile Christmas party does sound like it will be a fun affair - why is chocolate frogs and snakes for the children only, they are my favourite lol.

Boy @Maggie - you don't come across the way you described here on this forum. Just the opposite! I don't think you are showing them the real you or letting hear your voice be heard, the real you, like you do here. What a loss for them! I don't see you as odd at all - if you are then so am I !!! It may be a good idea to tell your social worker how good you communicate on this forum and the friends you have made - how you also help others.

I think it would be a great idea to discuss again with her meeting up with some compatible clients of hers for coffee to give you a chance to find your voice there and to let you shine!! It would be good for your whole mood, even if only for a trial of 15 mins to begin with. I can't see how that would hurt - but much may be gained. I think it would take a few tries before you find a suitable match and feel less intimidated to talk. Just do what you do here - you will be great!! I believe in you @Maggie - go for it I say and then you will start your journey with a baby person step to connect and find where you belong. What have we to lose? You would be delightfully surprised to learn how many under the care of your social worker would relate to a lot of what you are going through once you voice it.

Hope your day is shaping up to be okaish and you are feeling a little more relaxed. Thinking of you and sending lots of love always 🤗 - there's a virtual hug

@Former-Member you're right. First love is special.

Re: Taking the plunge

Ahh @Former-Member you are so kind saying the things you do, that you believe in me. I think I communicate better on here because I can read over what I've written and change it if it doesn't sound right. In the real world, my heart races, my face goes red and I can hardly string two words together. I have an added problem. My first Silly move, left me clinically deaf, so without two hearing aids, I can hear nothing. That has been my world for over 30 years now, I made my life more difficult than it already was. So if people don't face me and speak clearly, I'm lost guessing about conversations.

I will share a Choc frog and snake with you on Christmas Day, it's a party everyone looks forward to. Thank you for "getting " that!!!!! It's difficult being multiple and trying to keep it/them seperate. They love the forum conversations and feel accepted, a special improvement for them/us. I am the only DID my counsellor has, we are learning together. That was something special she gave me from the start. Never pretending to have answers, just a solid foundation I can rest on. That is the best gift anyone has ever given me.

Dont doubt the special YOU @Former-Member that you generously share here and in the real world. I appreciate you very much and value our friendship. Today I have a tiny glimmer of hope so I'm hopping around the forum while it lasts enjoying the break. The Sun is shining here and not too hot so far, not like you poor melting folk up there in the heat. You are right in what you said to @Former-Member, when someone says they think of is,it means the world.

A warm virtual hug back my friend.💞💞🎶🎶

@Former-Member Thinking of you dear lady in the lead up to Christmas. I hope you get some time out for you. Good to see you around, I know it's tough, very tough. Sending a warm virtual hug your way also.💞💕💜

@Former-Member I do admire the way you push yourself to do parties and shopping for D. She is one lucky girl to have a mum like you. Whatever you do today, I hope you get a small amount of enjoyment in it for yourself. A warm hug to you also.💓💗💕

@utopia I'm glad you enjoyed the song, it's an oldie but a goodie. Good to see you popping up here and there, I'm hoping that means things are okish in your world atm!!!!! Your sons gf is a lucky lady.
