I feel...

I feel...

I feel desperately lonely yet, I feel like I don't belong anywhere. I don't belong in the 'Normal' world because I am tarred with the brush of mental ill health, yet because I've sort of stabilised now, I don't belong with my former peers either. I feel beige, uncoloured and boring with no emotion really even though if I had to say anything it is gutted. I feel trapped in a world I don't want and didn't ask for, yet whenever I try and break the shackles of failure, I am thrust back into the dark and reminded yet again of my failures (my Father is a constant person to remind me). I feel alone, even in a crowded room. I feel unheard, even if I am screaming loudly.

I guess I am just searching for something and not sure what.

Does anyone else feel beige?

Re: I feel...

I have her picture safe in the cloud @outlander.

I've been asleep all day until 3pm. I feel utterly blah. I've been hearing voices today which is a bit of a worry, but I don't want to worry the Mrs.

Re: I feel...

thats good @Queenie about the picture not the way your feeling.

i hear voices and see things too, and can understand how scary and/or annoying they are. thats often a sign for me that my mh is very quickly deteriorating. is that the same for you?

what usually helps you when you hear them or feel this way Q?

im hearing you

Re: I feel...

Voice hearing used to be an everyday occurrence @outlander leading to my first diagnosis of schizophrenia. I haven't heard them in a while, but I think the chemicals whizzing around in my brain have misfired again, leading me to hear them again. They aren't really freaking me out (at the moment anyway) just really annoying, especially when listening to music. However in my coping strategies, I've listed listening to music (in an attempt to drown them out) actually helps. It means I can't enjoy listening to the words of a song, I'm just blasting the music in my ears. It's kinda crap, but what can I do? If all else fails, I can take another one of my meds but it will send me back to sleep.

Re: I feel...

well im glad at least its not an everyday occurance. thats a start. @Queenie im not surprised youve got possible misfires happening. all the things weve been talking about the past few days arent easy things to go through so im glad your sharing here. i wouldnt want you bubbling over and over.

i hope they do die down though so you can lsiten to the words of the song but ive had to do that too. it does get very annoying doesnt it. its like screaming shut up but they dont listen.

Re: I feel...

Mine tell me such stupid things like "they are watching you, the government agents will get you" and the like. They also tell me to die a religious martyr, which, considering I'm not remotely religious, isn't going to happen. It's just confused garble at the moment but it is so annoying.

Re: I feel...

well for starters im glad your not going to die. i want you here as selfish as that sounds i do @Queenie

i hate those ones that tell you someones watching. thats when my mind starts plying tricks and makes me go comando in the house becasue i see shadows at the windows

the governement why would they get you?

Re: I feel...

Oh the government thing goes waaaay back to my first psychotic break @outlander. I believed that ASIO and the Federal Police were in cahoots in a covert operation to silence me for knowledge I had. Didn't help I at the time worked for a government agency myself. I hallucinated that there were snipers in my yard about to take me out. It was all very freaky. I was taken to the hospital in handcuffs and I thought they were leading me away to execute me. I was pretty mixed up back then!

Delusions are weird things really! You can become so absorbed in them, that the real world just doesn't make sense anymore!

oh my goodness! @Queenie how scary!! its funny what the mind does doesnt it!

i havent had it quite that bad jsut to the point i thought people were following me, tracking my phone (lost a phone through that i threw it out the window and drove over it whoops) they are watching me. those sorts of things. wow that mustve been so damn scary and i hope that never happens to you again. ever!
