So on wednesday I went to see my gp about a skin spot I was finding to be quite suspicious and the news turned out to be not what I expected. They want the spot surgically removed urgently as in tuesday unless others cancel and i can get in earlier. They want the whole thing and as it looks like its spreading already they want more than just the top taken off then if it comes back malignanat more tests to see how far its spread then removed those areas
the worrying part is i dont know how long its been there for and because ive noticed it change twice its a very bad sign. Unintentionally coming off her was fear. Fear from others makes me worse and she was sending off alot of that. She pointed out 2 other points that she noticed that are really not good and are often seen in skin cancers.
Im so scared and it seems like tuesday is taking forever to get here. Its really not easy to sit with and accept. Im bloody pertrified!

and i think i now have to go get them checked casue im not sure about what happened last night and i took the dressing off and i cant tell if its yellow crap coming out of it . i dont know if they stuck betadine on it and now im worried its infected and the itch is seriously driving me insane!

You can do this. You went through the same thing last time and you got through it so you can get through this one. And it has to be done doesn't it?

@outlander ok you don't have to go Thursday. Maybe you just need the extra day to get yourself to be able to go. I so wish I was going with you Claire. I'm so frustrated that I can not be there to emotionally & physically support you. I had/have to do everything on my own, I have prayed for a best friend I can trust, if you were here I would trust you. We all need a best friend that understands what we are going through or it just doesn't work. I had one Denise we understood each other, as our life journey was very similar. Denise is with GOD now, far too young. But she had so many, emotional & health issues, as she was in a car accident & got all busted up. I've learnt from our beautiful friendship, I adored Denise & cherish our memories. I shared this as I believe we all need one special trustworthy close friend. Is there anyone where you live that you can ask to go with you Claire? I'm sure by Friday you will accept what you need to do so you can be helped & healed. You are stronger than you think! Plz believe me, ok go for your own well being, & go for me. I need your friendship, & all your Forum family want you to go, we love you! XXOO

Just size up to it and go @outlander .... you know it needs to be done, and the consequences of not having it seen to properly is unthinkable.
Talk to yourself the way you would to any of us in your position ... supportively and encouragingly ..... and maybe set yourself something really nice to look forward to when it's done.

@outlander Donnnn'ttttt touch the wound!!!!! It is Betadine that they put on it. If you have some Betadine at home you can refresh that wound with it then IT MUST BE COVERED!! you don't leave it without dressing & you are not supposed to get it wet!!! What am I going to do with you, just luv u I suppose? XO

@outlander- have you got a bottle of water not opened? If you have and you've got some cotton wool buds, get your older sister to gently clean around the stitches. Not too much water. And make sure she washes her hands throughouly. If you have a new dressing and tape reapply. If you don't have bottled water, the use some water from the kettle that's been boiled.

@Former-Member i cancelled friday ao its thursday or another long wait and I guess sooner the better. No one will be able to go with me at all. Ive got to go alone. Your are with me... in spirit. Ive had it covered and havent wet it Bella. I was changing the dressing as its been on for 3 days and i checked it and after thrashing around abit last night i was worried id done damage. I just took dressing off and seen it like that. Ive left bedadine off it and will check it again in the am if it looks ok then its fine if not drs. I dont need an infection too. I havent ckeaned it either because i cant get it wet. I cant have a friggin proper shower either and its really annoying the heck out of me! And thanks id trust you too ❤❤

@Sans911 ive got mum at home. She just says its bedadine so i just cleaned the outside as i cant get them wet and put a new dressing on it.
