Re: RE: Darkness surrounds me

@Former-Member - I'm back home hun. Here with you again. Please keep talking to us about what's happening for you, in any way you can. You don't have to listen to those screaming thoughts in your head. They are thoughts, and they have no power unless you let them take control. And I know how hard that is. You know I Bern in the same space. But I'm in the position now able to look back and see the hold they had on me. Last week it was you and @outlander that helped me to stop going any further. It was you that knew the bad space I was in, and you listened, supported and encouraged me not to go there. Do let us sit in this space with you know, let us hold you tight and keep you safe, just like you did for me. Don't give those thoughts the power they're trying to take from you. You're not responsible for what happened or what's happening with you know. You know these thoughts will pass in time. Just stay with us and don't go anywhere. Xx

@Sans911 @outlander

It has been a big week with some unhelpful phone calls. One was me calling for extra support (my psych recommended me call) to be told we cannot support you, and a call from my work which brought back flashbacks from traumas there. No contact for over 7 months and it just happened to be the day after I spoke to work cover, who asked if work had contacted me. So in other words they contacted me to save their butts and not look bad, not b/c they were concerned about me.

Then an email from workcover saying they had consulted with pdoc and I am not fit to work atm.

Three crushing defeats in less than 24 hours has just put me into that dark place that is difficult to recover from and continue.

I don't want this to defeat me. Tonight I am staying on here with you two and anyone else who is around.

Re: RE: Darkness surrounds me

@Former-Member - helping people being damn unhelpful. @Phoenix_Rising was just talking about this. They have no idea of the damage they do. I told my therapist today too about some helping professionals who seemed intent on destroying me, and made seeking help, trusting, being open and transparent really difficult.

I so totally get the defeating feelings. Being invalidated is so very wrong and there is nothing that can be done to right the wrongs. Which makes you think 'why bother? Fk everyone & everything'. But you ARE more than that. You can't change who they are. And by letting them get to you, which I well know is hard not to, you let them have your power. DON'T! Even when you no longer feel strong or able to fight, hold on, just breathe, get through the next hour, until the next day or when the thoughts ease. You know we'll continue to hold you up, trying to keep you in that safe space, until you have a little strength again.
