I am considering getting the services of a psychologist as well as my psychiatristt. Are you using both? If so how does that work for you? Which have you found more helpful?

Well I see a psychologist weekly. He mainly helps around trying to help me cope with my PSTD, depression and anxiety. I find the sessions hard and exhuasting and not sure if they are helping or not. But I need to try and get my meds worked out first.

I see a psychiatrist for my meds. I have only had two sessions with the psychiatrist so cannot tell you what else will be discussed here. At the moment, he is trying to sort out my meds. I am on my second brand, still having side effects, still having nightmares/flashbacks and my SH/SI urges are stronger than they have ever been. I am hanging on by a thread. I see him on Saturday again (so every 2-3 weeks) and I am guessing another med change will happen then

I need to leave, I can't cope with all of this

@Former-Member hmmm .... thanks for sharing that with me. I am thinking I need both. I have a very good psychiatrist who I see once a month, who I believe has my meds worked out, but I really think I need to talk things through with someone once a fornight at least.... something that psychiatrists arent very good at doing.

Thanks NellBell I will look into that once my psychiatrist and see if he can recommened any psychologists as I presume it is good for them to work together as a team and not against each other.

Sorry SI/SH are still an issue for you
